I'm visiting London for a week or so in early August, Twickenham/Richmond general area and wondering if there's any good pubs, clubs etc etc worth checking out? Used to live in London but not very familiar with either area. Any help greatly appreciated. |

Twickenham has GREAT pubs. Check out the ones on the Green if during matches...they are less crowded and have more character. Can send you info if you let me know what type of place you're looking for. Richmond has some good ones, but more variety in Twickenham.
No clubs in the area. Unless you like dance clubs with low attendance. |

Thanks. After googling a few pubs etc in Twickenham I must say I'm looking forward to frequenting a few and sampling some fine beer and meeting some nice people!! I lived in London for 10 yrs and never been near Twickenham. Had a few brief flirtations with Richmond though!! |

OP... Can't believe you're from Galway. One of my favourite places. I spent there one month only but I loved every minute of it!!!
About your question... I am not in Twickenham, although close enough, in Acton. Not good with suggesting places but wish you to have fun in London.  |

Hey..yeah Galway can be a good fun spot for sure. I lived in London for a good bit but mostly north and even Hackney for a bit but never had much cause for visiting Twickenham area so not too familiar and haven't been back to London for about 10 yrs so really looking forward to it. I always loved it. Will have lots of free time and can travel too...just saying!! |
