I've never been mugged or stabbed at this carnival "
I went 18 years in a row and never saw any trouble.
However some of my best times would never be repeated. Dancing on a warm evening at 11pm as it now officially closes at 7pm. |

Guys if you want to have the best time at carnival join a float/Mas Band most do inc food/drink/T-shirt offers while there is security around those bands and its much safer than wondering around... If you need advice on the best bands message me...  |

That was a lot of effort for little return. The only two sound system l could get on with were the latin doubds in Portobello road and Rampage. Had a decent plate of curried goat though. |

Remember before 7pm and they close the carnival to be the exit, it normally takes 30 to 50 minutes to get from one side to the other. Because the police close the roads and funnel people out. Also l made the mistake of not checking in advance the sound systems which l wanted to visit. Have fun |

I have lived in the carnival route for over 30yrs!...and can categorically state stabbing and fights are on a small ratio compared to football violence...! |
