Any input on places to eat in London would be appreciated. All cuisines of interest. Something between maccy d's and The Ivy.

Rochester

Are you looking for great street food or stared restraint? There are many options to say the least!

Brick lane has a great atmosphere if you like to nose about as well as eat.

Plenty of good places and you can just pick and chose.

But if you are up the other end of town then there could be another 1000

If you could give us a little more about area and preference and £££ (and if you want entertainment thrown in) we may be able to give you a better suggestion.

I personally love places like Spuntino on Rupert St, Polpo nearby which is owned by the same people.

Also try Pitt Cue co. Or Bodeans if PCC is busy for BBQ.

Nopi, sketch (£££), Goodman for steak......the list goes on.

Bloomsbury, London

Whenever I'm in London always love going to L'Escargot in SOHO (my hotel is 2min away). Fantastic food and really great service. Not too pricey, although not too cheap.

If anyone's up for a dinner and drink next month, I'm back in town...

The burger bar called Five Guys opened recently and seems to be popular. Though whether that is because of the food or just so people can update their facebook status with 'Five guys in my mouth' Im not sure.

Mishkins is pretty good in Covent Garden. If not then try somewhere like Orso for Italian.

Best Indian restaurant in town is star of India old brompton road in. South Kensington.

New world in Chinatown is one of the largest in London and has very good dim sum.

Cabana at Westfield is an excellent Brazilian chain.

For steak go to Smithfield market. Excellent choice of places.

Fish and chips try Kennedys on goswell road near barbican. The best I have tried. Even better than the well rated fish central in central street around the corner.
