Hi all,
Inspired by the winter walks thread, just wondered who here goes on walks in or around London. Always nice to meet up socially and get some fresh air.
Have the last 3 legs of the London Loop (22-24) to complete. That's Harold Wood to Purfleet. Need to then plan my next set of walks.
If anyone would like to join (in part, in full or just grab a coffee nearby) let me know. Thanks to those already in touch via the original thread. |

Hi OP, I got that idea not long ago about Saturday afternoon/evening walks around London Town but for various reasons it didn’t work out, not sure someone picked the idea up or not but I’d be very much interested, time and location depending, Saturdays only though. |

There was a thread about London walks with one potentially planned for next week which I said I could potentially attend last night. However when I got up this morning it seems to have disappeared. |

"Ah right, I’m out now. Can’t do with all the drama. "
No drama, just thought I'd share my findings because I saw a couple of people asking about the missing thread.
I'll re-post the walk details for Saturday 11 in another thread where hopefully we'll avoid such issues. |

I am just thinking but perhaps one of the reasons the thread went missing is because on the forums there was a actual location and nearby roads where you could park.Perhaps this is against site rules as anyone could access the forum see the location with a potential day as it seemed a certain day was favourite. All of a sudden you have people turning up that weren’t on the guest list. |

That's a very good point, I think that might be it. Thank you, clearly I hadn't thought of that. |

"Oh nooo. I was looking forward to that walk.
BTW, was my last message re it, too detailed? If so, apologies. I just have no sense of time.
"
Haha, who knows?!
I'm still planning to do the walk next Saturday, if you're still in I'll send you details too. |

Careful you don't end up hijacking this thread as well!! 😂 |

Hello again all. Sorry been offline through plane breaking down travel dramas.
First off, I has also participated in the original thread. Not sure where it went or why, but shame it did.
No issue at all with hijacking/people noting things in here. I put it up just as the other thread had gone and I thought it would be nice to see who may be about as I complete the London Loop/who may be up for future walks.
Want to keep it fun and friendly and certainly no drama. Just a place for FAB people who like a walk and are in London area to connect. |

Whitstable and London (central) |
I'd be happy to organise a canal walk from King's cross (near granary square) up to Little Venice. I know a nice pub for some lunch too. The walk is really nice and you go past Camden zoo too.
Likely to be on a week day. |

Wherever I lay my hat |
Great idea and if this is a like minded group of people going for a walk or hike then I'd love to join. I would be coming to enjoy the fresh air and chat - I'm not looking to find people to hook up with. Sorry to be blunt but I have had my fingers burned before |

Glad to see people firing out ideas and interest. Will post here when I am next going to be out East on the London Loop.
Completely understand Cougar and everyone should respect each other just as with any social in public.
That is a nice walk _oe90s - I used to live in Maida Vale.
