Chatter, Culture, Cocktails Social on Sat 25th May

Date: Sat 25th May.
Location: Central London in one of the big museums, afterwards for drinks nearby.
We will do a little guided tour and then head elsewhere to digest all this culture by enjoying a pint or two or some cocktails. May involve a few other activities but that's a surprise for now. Will be all civilized, please keep in mind that this is a non play event in a public space.
Numbers will be kept relatively low due to restrictions in the tour and I will aim to keep the ratio as fair as possible.
To reserve a place please PM me. Location details will be sent out closer to the date. And if you can't make it please cancel well in time to give other people the chance to attend.

Sounds like a great idea, shame I have a surgery on the 17th and will be recovering for a month or so, but if this is a success let me know if you arrange another meet like this, I will definitely be interested. |

Thank you for arranging such an unusual and enjoyable social. I'd like to support The Gatekeeper's comments about those who failed to show without prior communication. It takes time and effort to arrange a social but some people can't be arsed to spend 2 seconds sending their apologies. Shame on you but your loss - you missed a great afternoon. |

Just to say it's a standard thing that inconsiderate folk don't turn up and don't even bother to let you know so don't worry about it George.. I get it every time

Oh I get that it will happen but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t (and won’t) be called out. Especially if you request a place late, receive the venue details and then do not show with no word privately to George or on this thread. Not only is that dickish and inconsiderate, it’s also incredibly unsafe for all the attendees
As I’m sure you’re aware Grumps my comments were not aimed at you as you (and others) had communicated to George privately or in this thread that you’d no longer be able to make it which is common courtesy and much appreciated |

Thank you for a absolutely brilliant afternoon, well done for your first museum social.
I also echo GK's comments above, takes 2 minutes to let people know you can't come. Is only respectful after all.

Just chiming in to say I think this is a brilliant idea for a social. Bit tricky for us due to childcare, but we'll definitely try and move things around to attend one in the future if you continue! |

Thanks and agree. Logistics of childcare can be a challenge.
The social will be back at some time, just difficult to find that time |
