It's a social event for kink people usually held in a pub. It's for meeting people and networking. It's called a munch as there quite often food involved.
There is also a crunch which is held later in a club. The Camden crunch was a great night before it stopped.
Munches are strictly social and not designed for a quick hookup. If you meet someone there and decide to leave together then that's good for you. However sleezy guys touching girls will not be tolerated, I have had to personally remove people from our event on occasions that didn't read the rules.

Sit down and I will tell you a tale. Myself and partner were attending a munch with our kink friends in a pub London Bridge direction. Was having a good time and then found out that a fab swingers social was also going on in the same place. Myself and my partner then went to the FB guys explaining we were on the site blah blah and the coincidence that we the other group etc.
We were introducing ourselves but didn't seem welcome. Said we were a bit intimidating and weren't interested in all that bdsm stuff.
We explained that we weren't much either just general perverts but no joy back to our other group |
