I’m going to have a picnic in the park and would like to invite fabbers along to join me.
Would folk be interested in this? I’ll set up a telegram group if so.

A picnic you say? Do you have to be London based or is being originally from London enough? |

"Maybe! I'd only be able to tell nearer the date as we are away weekend after, so not sure about childcare just yet!
Tones
I’ll keep everything crossed for childcare T!"
A forum friend might be around on 12th. Might drag them to this if time allows

The challenge with letting people know where the venue is in advance is that it opens it up to any and everyone, including lurkers who just wanna leer on attendees from the periphery.
This is why most people who host socials don’t get the exact venue out publicly, just a general area |

Agreed. But I do have a park in mind in a central location for Londoners and those travelling in to be able to reach quite easily. |

I completely get this but wondered whether we were talking north, south, east or west. Central location makes sense |

I'm guessing central London.
The exact location can't be put on the thread as it can be seen by the public. |

Tonight or over the weekend I’ll s nd messages to those that have expressed interest in coming and I’ll drop details, times I’m thinking etc.
BYOB obvs but also if people want feeding I’m sure people (me included) will be willing to go to the pub after.

Can’t message some of you so posting here-
Hello!
As said I am planning on going for a little picnic on the 12 August. I will be making my way to a park- in a central London location- for about 2pm and staying until about 6/7. Please do feel free to come along! I’ll drop the location if you confirm you’d like to come about two days before!
Pub afterwards too?
I’m sure others will be down too so please do feel free to come along to a pub afterwards for some drinks (and grub if you want some). Might as well make a day of it.
Hopefully see you on the 12th! X
PLEASE MESSAGE ME SO I CAN SEND YOU THE PARK AND SHIT IF YOU ARE DEFO COMING X
(Filters dropped x) |

Ahhhhh, I don't venture into the London forum. I also didn't read the whole thread *smacks hand*. Shame, I can't get down to the London on the 12th. |

I can't make it as I'm with my bro and niece travelling for a fun weekend in LANDAN However we will be central and seeing some parks so if I see a group of sexy misfits I'll watch you all from afar Have a great time though you lot! |

I'm pleased to add no fabber was injured with knitting needles or any other sharp tools thanks Mr Pickles for getting us together & the picnic team which made an effort to attend. Hope it isn't the last one! Miles says it was splendidly casual and he loved sharing the food laid out before us. What a lovely bunch. Let's do it again. You all owe me a karaoke song.
Tones and Miles
Ps. Anyone want a veri? |

FABulous picnic, enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Steve - great job organising a picnic, sounded like it would be such hard work but you made it feel effortless and inclusive. Such a great afternoon. Thank you everyone who was there and especially to Steve for organising, DeeliciousChaos for the cake and Dee Gee for the rum punch |

I'm sitting here stuffing my face with the last of Jennie's pastries and in a wonderful mood.
What a great day that was, Mr Pickles.
Thank you, and thank you all for being such lovely and interesting people to spend time with.
I am aching like a granny now, but I don't care |
