The date 17th May was announced as the day saunas could reopen with restrictions in place, ie.
Track and Trace in place
Restricted numbers of people allowed in the building at one time.
Possibility of a time restraint in place on the amount of time you can stay on any 1 visit. I'd say this will only happen in the more popular/busy saunas.
No dry sauna or steam rooms. This is due to strict ventilation rules being implemented by the government, which I'm afraid practically all saunas will not have in place.
TBH, I'm not sure on the ruling on Jacuzzis.
As for the 2m rule, can anyone reading this, honestly think guys are going to adhere to that in the dark rooms, in any of the open saunas across the Country, I don't.
The date 21st June, has been PROVISIONALLY booked by the government, as the day for further relaxation of covid rules. We will have to wait and see what that day brings.
No one has to attend, but most are open today, I know the Portsea, and CGHS, were open weeks ago (must be trading as a different commodity). E15 in Maryland Stratford is opening Thursday 20th noon to 6pm through to Sunday 23rd. Then same times Thursday through Sunday, until 21st June anyway. |

"You meant BGHS ? For a moment I thought there was a new Sauna in town "
BGHS is Bristol Garden Health spa in Brighton, CGHS is Covent Garden Health Spa is in Covent Garden & it has been opened for a month now but caters only to LGBT community, meaning is opened to men only and not to women unfortunately...BGHS and Silverlink (in Kent) are reopening this week |
