Chertsey Mead’s walking

Lost my virginity on the banks of the Thames. Upstream from Chertsey - Silversands between Laleham and Staines.
Trip down memory lane next week as I’m cycling along the Thames from Reading to London. |

If you go upstream, past Laleham and just before Penton Hook lock, there is Silver sands, a grassy meadow by a bend in the river, that’s where I lost my virginity. I cycled by there last summer, it hasn’t changed at all. |

You are all taking me back to my childhood. I grew up in Laleham. The river was central to my growing up. Fished it, swam it, jumped in it from the railway bridge at Staines. Lost my virginity on the bank at Silversands. I cycled through there in the summer. Silversands hasn’t changed at all. Happy days. |

The Thames- very central to my upbringing. I’ve fished in it, fell in it, ( numerous times) swam in and across it. Jumped in it off Staines railway bridge. First felt a Fanny on the riverbank, then first ever shag by the bank at Silversands- different girl by the way. My first honeymoon was a cruiser from Chertsey to Marlow.
I fucking love that river! |

Walked the dog around St Ann's hill the other day was shocked to .see in a few different areas empty condom wraps. Wish people wouldn't be slobs and not just throw there rubbish on the floor just take it home with you really isn't a hard to do |

Most of my early sexual experiences were on the banks of the Thames, from Penton Hook to the railway bridge at Staines.
Quite appropriate then that years later my honeymoon was taking a boat from Chertsey to Marlow, thanks to the guys at Bates boatyard.
Happy days! |
