. Kestrel day time spa in the Heathrow area is like Rios perhaps even better with a amazing bigger swimming pool , porn cinema and I believe just before Covid19 and lockdown started they had hot tubs delivered.

I used to frequent the old kestrals and very much enjoyed it.
Would most definitely like to attend the new place but it was just a tad expensive. |

Thats a real shame it that's the case.
Used to love going there, Mrs had a prearranged gb there with 5 guys. Liked going for a swim then dashing to the rooms as guys rushed after us. Pussy felt so warm after being in the cold pool. |

Rio’s Web site is still up and running and no indication on it the it has closed for good and telephone line is also still on
So hopefully it will be open again when all this covid madness has gone  |

I would assume that depends on the quality of playtime....I used to and will be going again to a Spa in Paris where guys entrance is 120Euro ....but its classy and good fun

100% - Consultations are in progress to make all staff redundant. The spa cannot afford to continue staying shut and the possibility of things returning back to normal is highly unlikely and deemed to be too risky.
I'm sure the website will be updated in due time; I feel bad for bearing the sad news but I know a lot of people were keen to hear an update. |

Why the government will not allow spas to re open is beyond me.
The levels of chlorine at rios both in the water and the air would have liked any virus.
You can’t tell me social distancing is being observed in shops pubs and in the streets were no levels of chlorine exist. |

If it’s true that Rios is closing down and I won’t believe until I see something official then it’s the end of a era as it has been In Kentish Town since the 1970’s I think it opened in 1979.On the London thread a guy mentions a gay sauna in Stratford opening I believe this week.Would it not be possible for Rios to open temporarily as just a sauna with no pool or jacuzzi as I think people would still attend that way bringing in some money to keep the place ticking over. |

The owner of Rios also owns Chariots Gay Spas. I don't know what will happen to any of them. Rios was my first ever club. Genuinely went thinking it was nothing more than an all night naturist gym. Boy was i surprised. would be a serious tragedy if it closes for good. Its one of the only clubs of its type in london that is non membership multi gender clean and friendly. Yah you get dickheads but you do in every club. Lets hope its not closing. Some of the staff have become good friends. |

If it is true that the owner are the same, than why they don’t even update Rio’s website? Just checked and Chariots website is updated at least to say the club is temporarily closed. Rios has two different websites going at the moment and neither are up to date...if they would have wanted and invested some money in it, they could have reopened by now with the saunas and steam rooms shut and all the Covid precautions taken like other spa clubs (including LGBT) did or are doing...I do hope they reopen....if they don’t there will be a gap in the market in London... |

Best case scenario, vaccine will be on the market late october/Nov and mass vaccination will be over by end of Q1 2021 - Pure guess but it will probably be when sex clubs and similar will reopen. Another eternity! |

I didn't hear any rumours about rios but another spa I use has reopened (banyan in Canning Town) it's not (officially! ) a sex spa but for anyone wanting a bit of good old fashioned steaming it's great. My point is that if they can open it might not be long for rios... They'd probably have to close the back rooms though |

Dear valued customer,
Further to the Government announcement on 14th June and our on-going decorating and refurbishment works we are now hoping to open on Thursday 8th July 2021.
Further updates will follow by email and on our website.
For the first four weeks our opening times will be 12 Noon until midnight Monday to Saturday and 12 Noon until 1pm on Sundays.
Saturday evenings 6pm to midnight will be couples only and Wednesday evenings will be naturist only.
We look forward to welcoming you back very soon.
