Used to love this back in the day when I had more time on my hands.

I think that phone sex is much better.
The voices are physically closer, so more intimate aided by the fact that you can speak quietly and tenderly too.
The lack of an image also means that the power of the imagination is allowed to take over and there are fewer distractions.
Phones (particularly landlines) are way more reliable too.
