I'm not quite as front line as those working in hospitals or shops or GPS. I'm a carer and so far the virus is not in where I work. We are on complete lockdown in there no visitors allowed just staff. We have as many measures in place as we possibly can to try and stop it getting into the home. But at the same time because the incubation period varies person to person at some stage there's a chance it will. We're following all protocol while working.washing hands ppe on with every resident we deal with. That's really all we can do. But yes I'm worried and I dint know how I will be of it gets in there as I'm in the high risk category myself but at the same time so are most of the people I care for and some staff have already left because they are scared. But the people I care for still need help so I'll just continue to do my best and when I'm not working and stay at home and only go out when I need essentials.
But honestly yes it scares me to think how bad I may get if I catch this covid. And it annoys me no end that people are not taking it seriously and people are dying a horrible death because of it.
Stay safe everyone and ffs stay at home. |
