I’m frightened......

So there you have it. Yes I’m a man, yes I’m meant to be strong, but I am genuinely frightened of what the future could hold. I am diabetic on insulin and in the “vulnerable” group. I have a mum who is almost 80 and it breaks my heart not to be seeing her, helping her, talking to her and hugging her.....

am I the only one who is feeling this or am I just a wet flannel???....

No buddy it is scary times.

Stay safe and protect yourself....

Unfortunetly the best way to show love for the people close to yoh is to stay away and put a brave face on it.

Have to admit the same. It's the unknown, not been able to see family or friends and give them a hug. But all can do is stay safe and pray that everyone I know stays safe.

definitely makes me grateful for what I have xx

It's normal to be nervous and worried about what is going to happen. I'm in the high risk catagory as well and I have to work as I'm a carer. I'm doing my best to avoid getting this thing following all the guidelines and I yes I'm worried about how bad it will be if I get it but until then I will just it carry on doing all I can to protect myself and those I look after. I only go to shops if I actually need something and apart from that it is just work and home. You are doing the right thing staying away from your mum it's really hard but by being responsible you are keeping her safe remember that. And try not to worry too much and stay safe x

It's a perfectly normal reaction, uncertainty is very worrying for everyone. Under the circumstances, it's also entirely rational, there are genuine risks for people's health and there will definitely be a severe economic downtown which will probably impact the world for decades.

Don't bear yourself up for being human, look after yourself and your loved ones. Try to keep as normal a routine as possible and incorporate exercise, healthy eating and other practices which are beneficial to both our mental and physical health into your everyday life. This also helps us maintain a feeling of control which helps alleviate anxiety.

Your right to be scared but don't lose hope.

Best way to keep safe is to follow all the advice given. Stay home, take your meds and stay away from everyone.

Call your Mother everyday, notjing stopping you speaking to her.

What you do now will impact what future holds.

Stay safe, stay smart.

Never be fearful of displaying your vulnerable side.

We are all human and no one is a wet flannel for opening themselves up.

Take care

My town

Your right to be scared it’s an emotion to let out and don’t try to hide it. The unknown is horrible and in it effects everyone

Yes you're a man and its ok to be not ok

Just because we're men doesn't mean we can't cry or be scared and if you need help just ask a friend male or female

I'd give you a hug except you know...social distancing...take care we're all in this together

Much as I hate to appear insensitive OP, worrying about the current situation isn't going to achieve anything. Being stressed out lowers one's immune system, making one even more vulnerable to all manner of infections. So try to relax maybe do some yoga or meditation.

If we all obey the social distancing advice, and hand washing, wearing nitrile gloves while shopping and refueling our cars. We can beat this thing.
