So today I just had a short conversation with a friend about the virus, being a bit sarcastic with the first message but you will get it:

"[14/03, 19:55] ??: How is going over there, is this Covid-19 a hoax or is it a big deal?

[15/03, 04:10] An: It's getting better here

[15/03, 04:11] An: Here they had dealt with SARS in the past so they take it more seriously here

[15/03, 06:07] An: How's the situation in Ireland?

[15/03, 06:09] ??: Getting worse... We are in social distance quarantine for two weeks at least

[15/03, 06:10] An: Stay safe!!!

[15/03, 06:11] ??: Thank you ?? I am at work.. then four days off from today

[15/03, 06:14] An: Social distancing is the best, schools here in HK have stay closed since Chinese New Year beginning of February, we hope schools can open again end of April

All depends how people umplement social distacing.Last night pubs were packed in Temple bar...social distancing only works if people actually make a conscious decision to do it.Those dipshits out and about packing the pubs last night have no respect for others.I suspect by Wednesday we will be on lockdown.Patricks day will be another excuse for idiots to go to the pub again. The pubs themselves need to try and practice social distancing. From what videos we saw from last nights carry on in temple bar its not occuring. My local pubs have all put plans in place to limit numbers of people but its very difficult to monitor.

China has reacted to this threat and new infections appear to be declining, europe has the problem of rising numbers though as we are a few weeks behind.

"Did I miss the good news bit ??"

Read again... The numbers in China is decreasing and they passed through worst and had everything under control... Information Straight or very close to the source or the biggest infected area...

No one is obligated to be positive

Remember China was on very strict lockdown , Irish people tend to just say , ah sure it’ll be grand . I’d say we will be in lockdown from tomorrow

We got no notice of schools and childcare facilities closing. I think the fact of St Patrick's day being Tuesday. Tomorrow will be crucial to enforce a lockdown.

Something similar happened in Italy, some didn’t take the restrictions seriously and others thought your not gonna tell me what to do

[16/03, 00:01] An: Although there are almost 900 known cases, a scientist said the real number is 10 to 15 times higher.??
