This for d ladies only ok .I come on to d forums regular to see Wats new but I see a common thing once too often here..I often see Wen a newbie guy asks for help or just simple Q he gets slated by some guys den few more jump on d bandwagon even d odd couple + does get nasty @times 4 no reason at all.my Q to d ladies is why u think guys do dat? Is it'd just trying to get ahead themselves been nasty+ wat do u think of d ppl who do be vile to others..y u think d do it ..only looking for d ladies opinion because it's dem d guys bust Der balls to get+ do ye like seeing guys do dat.. |

Too many questions don't be overthinking it. Life too short at end if day we all here for fun. The one good thing the forums help in deciding who to block and who to contact. |

I'll try to explain this one with a simplified scenario.
Imagine you are a regular at a local sports library (a specific library, that has every single piece of information about every single sporting event). You have already pretty much read every single available book that interests you so you usually stay at the front door as that's where the new stuff is being stocked.
Now that library also has a membership card where members organize their own sporting events or just meet other members to discuss certain sports.
You have a membership and love being a part of it.
So here's you standing at the front of the library pretty much every single day, reading topics that interest you.
Joe walks in and says to you "I've been a member in this library for over a year now and nobody wants to play sports with me, am I doing something wrong?"
You politely explain that to be invited into any sporting events you must train very hard, be a team player, respect other players and do your own research. Joe shrugs and walks deeper into the library, gets a bunch of sticky notes from his pocket, writes a load of passive aggressive notes like "i don't want to play sports with you anyway, you're shit at sports","stuck up bunch of cunts" and so on...
John comes in through the door, but he looks all dirty and a bit scruffy, he asks you why do people not play sports.
You explain that while everyone does get dirty while playing sports it's important to appear clean and hygienic to other players. John gets pissed off and feels insulted. Starts shouting around how rude and immature you are for calling him names.
You shrug and keep on reading... another 20 joes and John's walk in through the door and ask exactly same questions and all have similar reactions.
Until 1 Robert comes in, asks you the same stuff, you don't even feel like answering any more, nevermind being polite.. He complains that everyone is unwelcoming, but doesn't do anything, just leaves... and once a year you get Chris, he's genuinely interested in the whole sporting culture, he understands that one must put in a bit of effort to get anything in life, is a decent human being, naturally treats others with respect and reads every article and every piece of information available himself before approaching you for any information. |

It's not just men,some people (not all) forget what it's like to be new here. And think because they are here longer it somehow give's them free reign to slate other's opinions/thread's. Other's are just ignorant and will jump on the band wagon regardless what's said.Alot of thread's get repeated over and over because new people join all the time. It's the nature of forum's. Some newbies feel entitled to be spoon fed. And now and then when you genuinely care for their wellbeing and give them a spoon of something they don't like, but is good for them like broccoli, they get very upset and unreasonable. After dealing with enough unreasonable tantrums one or two screws does get loose and the one who's supposed to be the patient one also becomes unreasonable.
We are all humans with emotions and moods and their swings and roundabouts. Not a single reaction has ever come from thin air or just for shits and giggles. |

There are threads where that happens. It mainly starts when the OP get annoyed with replies and starts giving people shit because he's upset that he's not hearing what he wants such as quick way to get meets and put in zero effort. The library analogy above is perfect.
There's plenty of great people on here, some of the lovely ladies on the forum were discussing organising coffee meets to help people get verified. I'm not sure if it went ahead. On the flip side of this, people who have offered to have a coffee and help those poor new guys have then also been stood up and had their time wasted. |

I wasn't on a about myself personally I just see it here regular but I did have it too at first but u hit d nail on d head everything u said dats d way it comes across to me too.

There is a combination of answers OP.
Yes some people will pick easy targets or topics to try and score points and look cool, these are in the minority though.
Most as Missus said above(I think, it was such a long post I didnt read it properly something about GO SPORTS) get sick of these threads and start making jokes or getting annoyed at the Posters.
Alot of the time they are repeat posters who dont heed the advice or pick fights because they dont like the advice they get |
