Do people mean alcohol or coffee or what's the preference?
I had a meet cancel on me and subsequently block me after a build up of about 4 weeks chatting ... for not planning to drink alcohol on Sunday evening (driving and work the next morning)
Is that a normal response? |

I only do non alcoholic cos I don't drink. But I think some people like a bit of Dutch courage.
Seems like cancelling and blocking is a bit ott over something like that but there's some real weirdos here so nothing surprises me anymore. |

Ok thats weird. We dont drink so even if we planned to meet someone in a pub it would 7up or whatever for us. If someone decided to block us because we wouldnt drink at a social id consider it a lucky escape |

We have done both coffee and alcohol social meets, whatever the other people prefer at the time so we don't mind either being honest. We go with the flow. The way we look at it is time off is precious and if we could do a social meet while on a night out is win win. As for blocking, we have blocked people if we don't clique for the only reason that if we are not compatible why make a furture mistake of either of us contacting eachother again. No offence meant, but seems some people get very offended by this.

Done either depends on time and where meeting. If i was driving id do coffee but if i was staying over in hotel or the likes I’d have a drink sopose it depends on everyone Each to there own some people think they have to drink to have the courage or confidance |

To be fair you have "don't drink" on your profile, OP, so it seems even more unreasonable to not only assume you would but to cancel on you because of it!
I don't personally drink [alcohol] but would never begrudge someone doing so themselves if we met; within reason
I don't think anyone would either way. Maybe it was more a case of cold feet and they just used something small as an excuse. |

Maybe consider yourself lucky.
Does it mean then that they only meet Alcohol drinkers |

Probably only drink alcohol so they can tolerate each other |

After 4 weeks chatting and exchanging pictures etc. And being very forward, they should have mentioned it. I do drink but definitely not midweek or school nights. Weekends only. But I'm not worried because somebody else fucked me sober offf tinder Sunday evening But I was just curious what people thought |

They were very shocked when I told them I'd be driving to meet them. Themselves drinking didn't bother me but me not drinking obviously bothered them. You'd think they woas over the course of 4 weeks flirting But somebody else decided to pounce on me sober Sunday evening instead so not that worried. Just curious what people thought.
Thank you all |
