I feel sorry for the staff . From my own experience they work so hard in my local hospital. Its not their fault as they just don't have the back up available. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians. |

From someone who spent christmas in hospital I have to agree although they did lock down the hospital at one stage which was a success, why? You wouldnt believe how stupid people can be bringing sick kids and relatives to visit the ill, I seen a a 10 year old faint in front of me while visiting his grandad...his mam was explaining after how unwell he was with the flu the last couple of weeks  |

I don't. I listen to the medical experts though.
Influenza has been known for centuries and despite vaccines and medicines it still kills up to 500 people here, and up to 600,000 worldwide every year. It generally kills about 9% of its victims, most of whom will be vulnerable people. Covid-19 has just about the same potency so far and that's without any vaccines or research having only been discovered a few weeks ago. Over time and with research and vaccines the potency will reduce. Panic and wearing dust masks, as I've seen a few people doing, isn't going to help. |

If even one case has to go to hospital, they will be in a corridor in hospital for 2 days spreading it to everyone who passes them.
The simple fact is, Ireland is very corrupt, we are indexed as one of the most corrupt countries in Europe, and that corruption is not the same as the type in China where the Chinese government can sweep aside opposition and get something done. Its the type where the government has to go and ask the rich people what they can do. |

It's believed to have been passed to humans from an infected animal at a food market in Wuhan. It hasn't yet been narrowed down to any specific animal yet though but it's believed to have probably passed from a snake to a pengolin to a human. |

Ur missing th he point here its normal everyday practiced all over the world to hunt wild game. This could have started here or America or Germany as easily as it did in wuhan The spread of the virus is down to our freedom of movement. A hundred years ago it would have being as local epidemic and we probably not have heard about until the news travelled along the silk road

Have to be honest I'm a little bit worried about my job
I have between 10 and 13 thousand every night im in work.
Depending on the band playing a few of them could fly in especially for the gigs Europe and usually its Italians that do this

Lot of opinions theory and solutions on here .please let the hse know how to do it .and maybe also tell them how to solve the long waiting lists for children to receive treatment .and the waiting for normal treatments for the general public .in other words if something like this gets here and takes hold . Death rate (2.3 - influenza 0.5) and and virus transmission rate (2.2 - influenza 1.3) is a good bit higher with the corona virus. Add to this that there's no vaccine yet, generally very little is known about the virus and best treatment. Also flu is seasonal the covid-19 might not care about spring or summer. |

Many viruses begin life effecting one species, but random mutations (which happen all the time) mean that sometimes they can skip from one species to another. Noone needs to fuck animals for this to happen lol. |

There is a virus in Brazil that was just found, it infects planctum.
It is so strange that when put through DNA sequencer to find out what family of virus it comes from, the dna test comes back as "unknown lifeform", thats how far off the beat its DNA is. It might as well be from mars.
Its so advanced it has a mini immune system of its own. Meaning vaccinating against it will be impossible.
I think a lot more people die from these strange virus than we know. A lot of it might be just written off as an elderly person with the flu, or something.
I was browsing through death certs on the https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp
And an awful lot of people died from stuff like "chest infection", "asthma", and things like that.
I am not sure things are much better today, I dont think today they exhaust all the possibilites and all the virus/bacteria on the planet when you die, they might just write "heart attack", Or "Pneumonia". I could be wrong. |

Statistically speaking washing your hands with these washes is the best way to stop an outbreak. They will even kill this new cornavirus.
Its almost as if they want it to spread. |

Call me a conspiracy theorist but this virus was made in a lab..how much of a coincidence was it that it was discovered just before chinese new year where millions of chinese travel abroad..they want it to spread worldwide..they want to kill as much people as possible ..the next virus they release will be even more deadlier |
