I'm really digging Ae Mak at the moment; weird pop music and the live videos look great, I haven't made it to a gig of theirs yet

Waterford

Slomatics.

They're a Doom/Sludge Metal band from Belfast.

Been around for 15-16 years but will never be in the mainstream with the music they play

Yeah they wouldn't be many people's cup I'd say, but I love them.

Saw them live a heap of times, even played on the same bill as them a few times. They're just a wall of power on stage

Dunboyne & Dublin

Not mainstream?

Depends on definition.

Gemma Hayes

Cara Dillon

Mick Flannery

Don't think any have sold millions of records but are great songwriters/ vocals/musicians.

I'll throw Dermot Kennedy in too, as he only has released one album. Pure brilliance too it is. Almost has the emotion in his voice of a young Eddie Vedder/ Glen Hansard and it's rare I come across those, so has to be mentioned

Belfast

The Altered Hours

A slice of psych from the rebel county of Cork.
