Normally I'm all for personal space but the last two days in work social distancing is actually killing me, I am literally in a large room with one other person the other end. It's fucking horrible  |

One of the most difficult things during this covid-19 for me is the lack of personal touch. I’m a very tactile person and I love giving and getting hugs. A firm handshake or a big hug, occasionally a kiss on the cheek as a greeting. A tap on the shoulder passing a colleague. Little signs of affection. Holding the hand of a patient, male or female to reassure them of the fact that they are not on their own, another human being cared for them.
The lack of this portion of humanity is hurting me but I’m acutely aware of why. Hopefully it won’t be too long until normality resumes.
How close is too close? When either party feels uncomfortable. Distance feels uncomfortable too.
