Just put a nice venison stew on in the slow cooker for 12 hour's,a nice leg from a calf with all the trimmings,veg,potatoes,herbs,spices,stock,cracked pepper corns,sea salt,red wine,etc,the aroma is driving me mad,I can't wait

yes you need small air holes one at ten o'clock one at two one at four one at eight,small holes poke the handle of a teaspoon in that will do,and just leave alone,and only fill with stock or oxo,soup,one third from the top
