So we've all changed hopefully for the better since we were 17
What advice would you'd give the 17 year old you.
Mine...
Never be ashamed, the shame was never yours so stop being a moody fucker and laugh more
Ps buy as many shares in Apple as you can |

No one but you matter, most people are acquaintances, you are beautiful and more than enough and you deserve all the happiness in the world don't be afraid to take it. And when a person wrongs you don't ever give them a second chance |

"Nothing, if she hadn't made all the mistakes she did, I wouldn't be where I am today. "
This.. I'm pretty happy with how my life has turned out and the lessons I have learned.
But apple shares are a good idea lol |

I’d tell her you’re pretty and you’re smart , I’d warn her about the man that would come into her life at 19
Only started living my life my way when I left the bastard in 2017 |

Everything will work out ok.
People aren't thinking about you as much as you imagine....good or bad.
Yes, life can be tough sometimes, don't make it even tougher by over thinking or over reacting.
Breathe.
There's no time limit, and life isn't a race, relax and enjoy.
Let go of shame, it's not helpful.
Embrace your oddness.
Soften.
You're going to have some amazing adventures.
A mortgage isn't a sign of achievement, it's a debt for life, so don't be in such a rush to get one (and certainly not during a boom!).
Have fun.
I like you and think you're brave.

Excellent advice...it could be an additional verse for Baz Luhrman to add to his massive hit. The intro is in my head now for the day. Don't forget the sunscreen

Confidence is everything. Try new things, take risks and don't be afraid of failure. It will make you more resilient, harder and wiser.
Never ever undersell yourself - You are definitely better than you think.
Speak up, stand up. If you have something to contribute, do it. If you have an idea and you believe in it, go for it. No such thing as a bad idea, it may spawn into something else even more wonderful but it won't happen unless you go for it.
It's OK to not know what you want to be when you grow up. Your career may change so pick up as many varied skills as you can along the way but whatever you do, do something that puts a smile on your face.
Listen to older people, they do actually know stuff!
Save a little. Even if it's only a small amount it's a great habit to get into and will stand to you later on in life.
Live a lot! Life is extremely short so make the most of it while you can, but remain respectful to others at the same time.
Look after yourself first. Not in a selfish way but if you are strong, healthy and happy then you are in a better position to help others.
Surround yourself with positive people and those that put a smile on your face. You will have days when you are feeling a bit low but the energy you get from these friends will mean that you won't be low for long.
Lastly - You only have one life. It'll be like a roller-coaster so be brave, strap yourself in and enjoy every last bit of it!!! |
