Had my fair share of no shows and not a word of explanation after. Just block and move on. Name and shame them in the forum so others can block. There are plenty of fakers knocking around in here thats for sure!! |

I agree, everyone is on this at their own discretion so any unwanted attention could bring trouble or that, its them thats losing out, was well ready for that meet too  |

I dont see the point of going to all the hassle and then to do that, bound to be something else they could be at, i wouldnt cancel or not turn up, love it all too much haha |

I've been lucky enough not to have any no shows but it's a very unsound thing to do to someone. As already been said...a simple msg to say "sorry can't make it" would be more appreciated than just not showing up and have someone waiting around unnecessarily.
Be nice to each other... it doesn't cost anything |

Years ago when I freshly joined fab I was once accused of being a no show. Messaged with a guy who was nearby one evening, said might meet you tomorrow if possible but not sure if I can make it because I had some business commitments. So I said I let you know in the morning. No time and no location was agreed, couldn't make it as work took longer than expected but was accused of no show. So I do wonder sometimes how many no shows are really no shows or simple mis-communications or even cranky reactions of disappoinment when it doesn't work out. |

Missus and I once drove an hour to meet a guy. This guy wanted to come to one of our M&G's and wasn't meet verified. We decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and go meet him. He gave us the name of a pub to meet him in. Upon arrival we noticed the pub was shut (around 7pm). We proceeded to walk around the pub and discovered that it had been closed for quite some time. This, as well as the amount of last minute cancellations when we are on our way to meets has us always wary. I know u can't tar everyone with the same brush but it does just make u feel like single guys are always gonna let you down. |

I went to meet a cpl in a bar and it was so busy it was impossible to identify my hosts and could not get fab on wi fi either and they had my pictures but never gave there's , thank god it was the seaside town and I stayed and just enjoyed life |

As newbies, we think this is terrible. In chats so far we get the impression people are wary of newbies for this particular reason among others.
People should have manners. If you say you will meet you meet and have respect for the other peoples time.
We have two meets and all showed up. Hoping it stay that way in 2020.
