With only 3 days into the month & it’s the weekend again I’m struggling to find an excuse not to go for a few drinks tomorrow night.

Anyone else doing dry January ?

To stave off drink want, get Sn Pellegrino fizzy water in 6 pack litre bottles and always have in fridge.

Really refreshing and, for some reason, reduces the want for alcohol.

To reduce how much you drink, spend decent money on decent booze.

A double Glenmorangie 10yr old single malt scotch will last me through a whole movie. That's less than the 3 pints you might drink in the same time, better for you and, usually, a better experience.

You can obviously ramp that up and get the 19yr old, which is just gorgeous, and drink slower, appreciating more, hopefully.

Just some of my tips

One bottle of whiskey for a one movie?!

Johnny, do you drink it like a soda or what?!

One double measure!

Its twice the price of Jameson or similar but so worth it

I'm aiming to be dry until Easter. No drink left in the house, so no bottles winking at me when I open the fridge.

There are loads of 0% alcohol beers available, lots even on draught now. It really doesn't need to be the end of the world not having a drink so go out and enjoy the pub but try non alcoholic? Just an idea... I'm too broke for the pub in January anyway
