There is no bad or good answer. Its your choice...

But what if the last minute date is also a passionate book reader and can wait until you will finish a chapter or two?

What does mean it?

It means you're more interested in reading the book than meeting your date.

Got to be the date.

On one condition.

They haven't read the book!

If they have, explain you can't meet them until you too have finished it and can chat freely.

Otherwise you'll have to divert the conversation to food and your Fab experience and nobody wants that

Only fair that you tell us the name of the book/author, so we have an idea of what you're mind was thinking.

If you say Anais Nin/Henry Miller/ Nancy Friday/ Erica Jong, I'll have a bloody good idea where your mind was at!

Judging by my personality - most likely a book as none of people who I ever wanted to meet were never close enough or available at a last minute notice.

Any other randomers just were never attractive enough ( mostly personality wise) for me to put any effort in them.

But yet also I'm a book nerd and do often choose a book over a person

Think it was Red Dragon by Thomas Harris ws the only book that ever made me jump!

For anyone unfamiliar, it's the first of the Hannibal Lecter trilogy.

Couldn't put it down!

A date would have been a perplexing choice whilst reading that.

Men do severely underestimate the sheet effort it takes to just meet them for a coffee... nevermind anything else

Hey, I’ll have you know I shower at least a day or two before any meet. Not to mention the can of lynx. Now that’s effort.
