I’m contemplating Belfast this year. It’s between Belfast and Derry. Having ran Derry the last few years I fancy a change.

Where would it be recommended to get a hotel? Is public transport good, to get to and from start-line, finish-line etc??

I did Belfast last year for the first time and the Derry half. Definitely would recommend Belfast! Hoping to sneak in around 3 hours 20 this year. Weather dependent!

Derry 1/2 is a nice easy one to get yourself acclimatised to the 13miles

Look into the larne half marathon... fastest half marathon course since they changed the course...I think it's nearly completely flat now.

Dublin City Marathon isn’t too bad but this year they had the lottery system. I’m not sure when they draw out the entrants though. Anyone else know this?

I think it’s early January from what I remember. Also, from what I remember, I think there’s only about 5000 places left for the lottery.
