Nope they are a bit of a machine at the moment if not as fluid as last year.

I dont know is it because I am getting older but even their fans dont seem as annoying this year

13 points clear with a game in hand? At Christmas? The biggest lead on Boxing Day in premier league history?

Ah come on!!

My only hope is that they fail in going through the season unbeaten

There has been plenty of close runs. There has been some pain along the way.

That said....this team has notjing to do with the other sides who have lost it. Goalkeepers were for years a problem for Liverpool sides fucking away ridiculous games. Last seasons points tally came as a result of as much as anything a very solid backline. Best keeper in the world right.now

. Best cb in the world right now.

2 of the most exciting full backs in the world right now. A shame Fabinho is out but one of the best dm's in the world and Henderson has filled in excellently. Wijnaldum/Milner are very steady. Keita starting to show very positive glimpses and Minamino also to come into the squad. If he settles quick he could be a very exciting addition. The fringe players such as Origi/Shaq recently have done their duty when called upon .

Last years points was enough to win a league in every season of top flight football bar that season and the one before. City were astonishing and nobody can take those 2 seasons from them. Themselves and Liverpool were light years ahead last year.

This season City have often struggled with a lack of leadership with Kompany gone and Laporte missing so many games. For context.. Matip Gomez and Lovren have all missed games due to injury this year so it isn't as one sided with injuries as theedi make it out to be. Alisson has missed a fair share of games through injury. All then managed by Jurgen Klopp . Incredible stuff altogether.

Liverpool football club may have fucked it away before and whilst it isn't won yet...I'd be shocked if Liverpool didn't press on and lift the premier league.

Also... fyi...many Liverpool fans are waiting 30 years for a league title and hearing about for that ampunt of time so yeah... they might be unbearable..but after 30 years of waiting for something I can't blame any of them.

Up the redmen !!

Best team in the world at the.moment without a shadow of a doubt.

I know the point you're making, but I am pretty sure you get banned from every forum on the internet that has an Irish section if you go into it and post in Irish. Even big companies like Sony would ban you.

The only way you would get away with it, is if it was an actual Irish website with lotto funding or something.

Without bringing the RIC into it I'd say many here have English relations. So why not support Manchester United or liverpool or Chelsea. Most of the English clubs have strong Irish connections. We are scouse not English! I'd agree with your point on most other english cities but Liverpool is a city predomently made up of Irish / Welsh decent. Between us and Glasgow we had the largest volunteers outside Dublin during 1916. Out accent comes from a gaelic dialect. A socialist city and the home of Big Jim Larkin.

But your right on the footy everyone should support your local team

If you look through the history of a lot of clubs in England ,there would be a long history of Irish men who played with clubs in England ,clubs like Man Utd , Liverpool ,Arsenal would have had Seriously Brilliant Irish soccer players throughout their history ,and because of that would have a serious fan base in this country .

Leaving all that stuff aside, when people invest time and emotion into something, particularly sports, the term "we" just comes naturally. It doesn't make you politically, culturally or socially different, it's just a term of context. I hate when people drag it into something its not just to cause a row.

"Leaving all that stuff aside, when people invest time and emotion into something, particularly sports, the term "we" just comes naturally. It doesn't make you politically, culturally or socially different, it's just a term of context. I hate when people drag it into something its not just to cause a row."

I know it's one game at a time and I don't want to sound too cocky as we all know how previous title challenges have fallen asunder, but I'm going to say it......

After yesterday and today's results I genuinely 100% have no doubt in my mind that Liverpool now have half a chance of winning this league.

"These "we" references to Liverpool, Man United or any English football clubs by people living in Maynooth, Naas, Cork, Belfast, Dublin, Tralee, Sligo, Roscommon, Strabane or anywhere in Ireland are simply cringeworthy and embarrassing

Why?

Because it is!! You all got involved in the hulabaloo about the government commemorating the RIC this week yet "your" football clubs honour and commemorate the British Army every year with a poppy campaign who committed atrocities in Ireland also. It is just embarrassing."

1000s of Northern and Southern Ireland men joined the British army to fight in WW1and WW2 and give their lives to beat the Germans that's why we have the Poppy campaign. But I nearly forgot the southern people treatment of the soldiers and their families after the war's was an embarrassment. Or the fact that the Germans sent guns to the south. A country to scared to fight in the war with the rest of the world.

Man city have to play Man United Leicester and Chelsea. If they lose anyone of them or draw it's be all over before we have to play Man city.

And as it is if we keep on winning it's already over before we play Chelsea.

I can't see us losting 6 games but I can see city lossing 3

It's just a numbers game for Liverpool at this moment.

But the problem is the 4th and 5th spot and the 17th 18th spot there's nothing between them.the top teams have to fight to get in Europe and the bottom teams to say up. So there's a lot of teams still have a lot to fight for.So on paper no one can relax. But if Liverpool does win after the next 6 games. I would not care if they play the 2nds every week so the 1st team can win the European cup.

Thank god for var or pool would never Premiership, , no one is playing well below them and they're playing good football and getting the rub of the green, they only have eyes for the league, they are not contenders other cups apart from Sprint champion league, I don't blame them put all assets into the Premier League , As for me it's my favourite trophy and this is the hardest to win 20 years should tell you that enjoy it
