"No spoilers please...thats my Christmas day entertainment"
My sister said that too. I said good luck with that. It's not a movie to watch full of liquor after a long day. It's three half hours and needs a lot of concentration. As for spoilers there is none really. |

Wasn't overly impressed. Could have been trimmed by an hour and it might have had better pacing.
Then again, with DeNiro, Pesci & Pacino together on screen, difficult to cut anything they do.
Great acting from all involved but, it was a bit like a Scorcese swansong, hence the lack of editing.
Good but not brilliant.
Do not watch it Christmas Day!
2nd January would be a better option |

In the Still of the Night.
I've listened to that song ten times today.
I can't get the song, but more importantly the film, out of my head.
Some great articles about it on The Ringer website, by the way. |

"Currently watching, its good but wouldnt go as far as incredible
"You might be demonstrating a failure to show appreciation "
Didnt live up to the hype for me and im a big Scorsese fan "
It's a slow mover ok but that was the only way to truly get the full 100% way of it all happening...3.5 hours is a long time and could have even been trimmed to 3hrs but for what it's about and Everything with it ,l did think twas Brilliant. |

Watching about half an hour and turned it off .. geeze the cgi is brutal when Deniro kicked the shop keeper in the gutter it reminded me of the midnight express kids movie . I don't know what the story was about I was too distracted by what age the characters were suppose to be in each time jump |

It's not really the effects that are at fault in that scene so much as the fact they can't cover up it's an old man trying to stomp a guy. |

I heard you paint houses.
I loved it.
The conversations were slow which drew me in. The acting superb. No one tried to out act the other off the screen so there was no main star for me. I enjoyed Pacino talking in a dulcet tone rather than in that ranty monotone we know him for. I would like to have seen more of kietel's character. I didn't find the CGI distracting and the cinematography and soundtrack A1.
This film wasn't rushed, maybe cause Scorsese see's it as his swan song but for me it works.
I guess it's like anal, you're either gonna love it or hate it or is that Marmite?

I wasn't a huge fan of Goodfellas but would definitely rate it higher than Irishman. |
