I'm struggling with what makeup to buy, any ladies on here care to help me out? What brands/products should I get and what brushes do I need?
Bear in mind I wouldn't be wearing all day everyday and I just want makeup for day time use not to get glammed up for going out.
It would be better still if someone could come shopping with me.

Hello! No one person can really answer what brands coz what works for me may not work for the next person. Find out your skin type and go from there.
In terms of products to buy, I always start with a primer. It's deffo one of my best buys.
Brushes....I tend to stick to Morphe, Crowne or Real Techniques. I find sephora ones aren't too long lasting so I wouldn't buy those again. But tbh, I pick up various ones when I'm out shopping so there's proper lil mix in there. Brush cleaner...a girl on here recommended one outta Penny's to me...2.50 and it's unreal!!

a good primer is a must have. Elf is supposed to be very good. For foundation it really depends on what kind of coverage you want/need and then also if it suits your skin also. Debenhams you can go in and they will match your shade and get a sample bottle of about 7 days worth to try it out to see how you go. Morphe palettes are good value and handy for people starting off as are there brush sets. the black friday sales will be coming up so try the morphe website and the likes of look fantastic for bargains to get you going |

Its very hard to advise with make up as skin tone and foundations suite different skin types...start by going to a shop to advise your skin tone and if you have dry oily or combination skin... morphe eye pallets are brilliant and you purchase on line through boots ...
The base of makeup is important your can experiment with colours on your eyes get a good eye shadow brushes too..

I'm probably not the best person to give advice on make-up as I rarely wear any, but when I do, I'm a fan of Clarins. You can pop in to one of the larger pharmacies who have a Clarins counter like MacCauleys and they will guide you through everything.  |

Im not an expert. Please check it yourself. You may or not have allergies. I dont use ready to use cosmetics. I do my own body lotions, body scrubs, toothpaste, etc.
I dont use make up products. |
