Is it only me that feels uncomfortable getting an unsolictated face pic? Particularly when the follow on message asks what I think?
I know guys find it hard to stand out but should face along with dick pics be held until asked for? |

Well I dunno if you should wait till they ask for the face pic.
Like if you fabbed my pic, winked me, you havent asked for my face pic, but I would probably send it in the first message so that you wouldnt waste your time. |

But at least in that scenario I have shown an interest. I'm talking about getting then cold and then asked to comment on them. Don't actually like having to say sorry not my type when I haven't even chosen to engage with the person. Don't like doing it anyway truth be told |

It's happening to me quite a bit. I ignore original message or say thanks but no thanks and they ask my views on their pic. I suppose I should just ignore. Its easier. |

Aside from the fpf thread I generally wont send them unsolicited anyway,unless a profile specifically states they insist on one in the first message. Given how many fakes are on here I'd rather send a live one elsewhere anyway |

I don't ask for either, but they just keep rolling in, and if you don't reply, the next message you get will either be a really pathetic one saying something like 'that's okay. I know I'm too ugly' (the pity shag gambit) or an angry one telling me how rude, stuck up and superficial I am (the 'I dare you to prove me wrong' gambit). |

Block if they ask why you deleted,no explanation necessary for any unsolicited mail of any kind,be it through fab or a flyer on your doorstep |

Attraction is important to me so I do like a good looking man. In reality I only know on meeting if I will or not as its more about the chemistry and interaction between us. Can't tell that from a pic. |

I've had guys send me a face pic in first message I've never had them ask for my opinion on them tho. That could definitely be awkard. I guess I don't mind if someone wants to send one on a first message but just because they send me one does not mean I will automatically send one back to them.
I actually don't ask for face pics I find as you chat and get on pics are exchanged anyhow. In saying that I have met when we have exchanged no face pics and it all worked out really well as we had been chatting for a good while and we knew we got on.  |

Depends on the recipient I guess.
Good looking is subjective though, and some will find features attractive that others won't... And being good looking may not be enough... I've had incredibly beautiful men and women message me (for unfathomable reasons!), and sometimes the conversation has been horribly awkward, stilted and inane, or they've proven themselves to be quite good conversationalists, but have had some alarming viewpoints or been a bit aggressive... I don't think any of us 'just want a pretty face', we want substance and chemistry and someone who makes our tuppences tingle and todgers twitch... I don't think a face pic alone can do that for anyone. |

I always ask before a meet for a face pic just to ensure I don't know them. Only ever sent them twice as they were traveling quite a distance to me. |

It doesn't make us uncomfortable. We don't ask for face pics, if people want to send them that's up to them as it should be clear from our profile that we don't expect or provide face pics.
We've never met someone who attached a face pic to their first message, apart from the fact that it's not the most important element of attraction for us, two-dimensional images don't really give any idea of whether there will be an attraction in the flesh. |
