Right, from Inter Cert & Leaving Cert English
we remember studying poxy, boring haiku's
A haiku is a short form of Japanese poetry
with three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables in every verse
A quick example...
-----------
"Your pussy awaits (5 syllables)
Purring patiently for me (7 syllables)
Just waiting to play" (5 syllables)
Or
"Meeting me tonight?
Plan on wearing any knickers?
Won't be staying on"
------------
So, here's the challenge
should you accept it...
Can you do your old English teacher proud
today with one verse of a haiku?
I'm awaiting a car crash of a thread
...but feck it, here goes!!!!
Now especially the lads, surprise the women
that you can actually string a verse together!
