I know and understand this is a sex platform, for which peoole meet up, etc.
But I do find this fourm, quite appealing, in asking other outside topics.
I just wondering and reflecting today on people feeling on spirituality!.
Me personally, feel a greater feeling towards a feeling of god and peace within myself.
Spiritual in general has a huge scope, so it can mean meditation for one and closer to god for another.
Out of curiosity whats the peoole perspective on the whole thing. |

Well it's a public forum and a place for like minded people to potentially make a connection so any topic should be welcome in my opinion.
While I'm not a religious person, I definitely have a spiritual side.
Couldn't really tell you what I believe as I'm always questioning my own ideas on spiritual matters. But I do believe wholeheartedly that there is something beyond what our limited five senses can conceive.
What it is, I will probably never know.
Quantum mechanics is so fascinating that we now understand that what appears to be reality in our everyday interpretation, is quite different to what goes on on a quantum level.
This of course does not lend itself to be manipulated to suit a particular belief or not, but some of the worlds leading physicists are coming up with incredible possible theories about reality.
The many worlds theory is blowing my mind at the moment. |

Spirituality can indeed be aligned with sexuality
as in the case of tantra and sensuality which can
at times heal emotions, improve intimacy or bring
a relationship between 2 bodies to a different level
So no, you're not deviating too far from the site |

This doesn't even have to relate to tantra, it can be found in any loving relationship |

“When I do good I feel good, when I do bad I feel bad, and that’s my religion.”
Abraham Lincoln
Without being too new-agey here, I think spirituality is
following or being in your bliss where you're so wrapped up, connected and engaged in something you're passionate about, that hours can pass and you'd hardly notice...
For some, this could be meditating with legs crossed on a mountain, while for another a similar state of bliss could be enjoyed having a cup of coffee Playing an instrument could be "meditation" to a passionate musician. So, anything that connects you more to life, living and feeling connected to all existance could be deemed spiritual... but then again, spirituality is probably too big to be defined ...and that's okay
I suppose following your heart and being in your bliss |

That's true, but quite a self-absorbed perspective. I think it extends to understanding that our own behaviour and demeanour affects all around us and that we get back what we put out to a large extent. |

Not ANY loving relationship...
A man can love his partner but she might not feel loved.
The reason I brought up tantra was it gives tools and
insights into relating to a partner, which some men in society
are lacking because they've never been taught about
Simple as...
...and no, not having a go at the lads here btw... |

How can it be "self absorbed" to
be connected and switched onto life???
...sure that would make the tibetan monks the
biggest egomaniacs on the planet then!

Mozart wasn't thinking...
"Well, this concerto 23 is sure gonna be a big hit"
He composed because he loved composing
Michelangelo didn't think about his staute David being viewed by millions...
He said...
"I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free"
Their happiness had to be intrinsic and linked to the process of composing or creating otherwise
they wouldn't have created such masterpieces

But they were creating for others to admire - and getting paid to do so not to mention the validation! |

I said it CAN exist, not that it does, and women can be just as neglectful, particularly if they lack awareness of the importance of of sex, it's not always men at fault in a relationship. |

You were stating as fact that getting paid and validation is what drove them... and that might be the be-all-and end all to yourself (best of luck if it is), but that mindset has created the X-Factor generation, where millions want vaildation, fame and a big pay check no matter what...
"I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free"
Michelangelo's words and inspiration
Not mine and not yours...

His words, which sound lovely, but may not necessarily be entirety truthful. I've tried to explain my take on spirituality and connectedness to others, you then insinuating that money is a be-all-and-end all for me indicates you didn't get what I said at all. You have your view that spirituality is entirely about the self, I have a different view. |

A debate, isn't always a negative thing, more often than not its a postive!.
Its when it manifests itself into a numb jumpo nonsense then it becomes, a spoil. |

I had a mini novel written there and was about to hit send but just realised there is a quote my Marianne Williamson that sums up my feelings on spirituality
"Our greatest fear" too long to write but can be found easily on tinter web.
It's how I try to live my life. Spirituality isn't selfish, self absorbed or egotistical. If it is, you are doing it wrong.
Self love is a huge part of it, but compassion and empathy towards others is equally important.
I don't think you can call yourself spiritual without all of the above. |

Of course there is copy and paste to fall back on when too lazy to write
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
