Whilst on this topic, I did an Aul squirt of sauvage while in boots. Realised it was the parfume bottle I used and not the eul de toilette. What's the dif? One stronger than the other or did I squirt a womans one on me. |

Only advice I can give here is get an aftershave they already use
Most aftershaves react differently with skin, and what you smell in store vs on person can differ greatly
Apart from that lucky guy being bought presents |

Eau de parfume is oil based so it lasts longer |

On some folk the edt last all day and night....there is subtle differences between the 2...majority of folk actually prefer the edt over the edp version, especially when the edt is alot cheaper and performance as well as scent is fantastic dont bother spending the extra on the edp version.
No ones mentioned another great all rounder thats fantastic in scent and performance as well as compliment getter and that is
Aqua di gio profumo

Its not oil based....it just has a higher concentrate in perfume....its still alcohol and water based as is most western fragrance unlike the ones you can find over in UAE alit of there fragrances use oil as a carrier....its not a case of it lasting longer....its all individual with your body how scents react and last tbh....but yes edt tend to range from 10-15% edp usually around 20% and parfum or extract de parfum can be 20% plus in fragrance concentrate within the formula and gernerally the higher it is the longer it lasts, but again its down to the actual materials and scents used that would dictate how long the scent last and again how it reacts to your skin....obviously most citrus/fresh summery frags tend to not last as long as say a woody oriental which has stronger scents within it and would suit colder weather as well as evenings/going out |

Im an aftershave lover, have well over 25 different ones. I love to wear a different one each day for work. Alot of good suggestions above. I bought an aftershave while on holiday in Clare last year. Was made from items collected in around the Burren. Winter woods is its name. Lovely distinct smell and lasts hours. Well worth a try |
