Met loads but Mick Flannery would definitely be the nicest person I've met, though very shy.
Weller was as expected.
Keith Wood was a gas and Mick Galway took the piss.
Guy from The Christian's was a dude
Gaby Roslin said No!
Danny Baker is sound.

14th Dalai Lama, had a quick conversation, the usual, polite hello how you doing kinda thing. What I liked about the Dalai lama he sat in the front seat of his limo after refusing to sit in the back. Thought that was very cool. |

"Bono... He's a pompous prick."
Hope that didn't surprise you ??..cause l've never met him but l wouldn't have to ,to realize that, I think it drips off him ( and no l'm not a critise " your own " type guy ,good luck to him for making it big and rich etc through his music but one trait he hasn't is humility.) |

Walked around Fota golf course for a few holes with Paul Mcgrath following the golf at the 2002 Irish open. He was there on his own and fell into our group.
He was an absolute gentleman and he was pestered by people the whole time.

Had a conversation with friends about this a little while ago... Someone I knew was looking for a 'celebrity' to appear at a charity event and looking for ideas/contacts. People were throwing names out as suggestions, and I was sitting there racking my brains trying to think of anyone, until I realised the table had gone quiet and everyone was looking at me... My best mate patiently reminded me of several famous people I know quite well, have worked with in the past, or have at least had enough contact with to be able to ask to make a guest appearance... The event manager thought I was holding out on him, but the truth is, I tend to forget that somebody is 'somebody'... To me they're just x, y or z that I happen to know or have known at some point
So to answer your question OP, I suppose most of them are just pretty decent people, as I can only ever really recall two utter diva experiences... Both were back in the late 80's/early 90's when I recall a certain portly American rockstar/actor being quite demanding, obnoxious and reducing a poor young waitress to tears, and the other incident wasn't actually the famous person himself, but his brother who had tagged along on tour and was prone to throwing his weight about and using the 'do you know who I am?' line to ride his brother's coat tails. I didn't stay in touch with either of these people. |

Met Sir Stirling Moss a few years back at a classic F1 event. An absolute gent, incredibly switched on.
Still kicking myself that I was a metre away from Senna, in Silverstone '89 he was chatting to spectators, but we were Mansell fans and at the time, he was the enemy, so I turned my back and wandered off..... |

While in Silks restaurant in Malahide I hit Ronan Keating in the back of the head with a door as I was leaving. He was cool with it until I said “shorry”. Then he looked rather pissed off. |

What? The sound of a solid piece of timber smashing the back of his head? Not often enough in my opinion. |

I met the Edge who was also up his own ass.
Have met a good few. Cillian Murphy, Hugh Jackman, Moby, Elijah Wood, Saoirse Ronan, John Mahoney from Frasier, was drinking with Aidan Gillen... probably more bits that's all I can think right now. The Edge was the most unpleasant |

Met Sara Jessica Parker in a restaurant in Donegal. She has a holiday home up there right on the ocean. My mate drove me out to see it the day after. We just exchanged hellos. She had a lovely smile. |

Just a load of politicians really. And I was interviewed on the Late Late and Claire Byrne Live once! I think famous people mostly are underwhelming. They're just normal like. |

Two people. Norman wisdom in birmingham where I was working in a shop..he was doing panto and asked me for directions to the theatre and was delighted that a young man (I was in late teens back in the early 90s) recognised him. He stood talking about his love for acting and his tv career. Great great man. And the second was sue pollard.. again was in the shop I worked and wanted a roll of 135mm film developing in the 1 hour service. She stood chatting about how film was developed and how she loved working with her friends on hi-de-hi. She was exactly dressed and mad as her character was on the show. |

Went to a divine comedy gig a few years ago and during the gig Neil Hannon came out into the audience and over to me and said nice tits, then afterwards we ended going to the same nightclub as them and ended up drinking with them for the night and he tried to kiss me a few times.
Also met Mark from Westlife in a nightclub and spent the night drinking with him and his friend |

My dad works in a local hotel so growing up i was pretty lucky to meet alot of celebs. I met Britney, christina Aguilera, pussycat dolls, Tom hanks, Robbie Williams, boyzone and Westlife (they loved in the hotel for 2 weeks at a time selling out the odyssey) , Jessica biel, shania. Been pretty lucky in that sense.
Outside of the i met slipknot outside the odyssey at their Feb gig, Robert pattinson in bangor ( i hadnt seem SOA so didn't recognise his partner in crime at the time) and tom hiddleston walking along the pier in bangor. |
