What is a daytime booking?! 2 to 3 hours and checkout at 5?!!

your imagination

Most hotels do a dayroom rate if you ask for one. Lots of people travel long distances and just book in somewhere for a few hours of sleep, so it's not an unusual request or as likely to raise eyebrows as you might think. It's a bonus for the hotel too as it means they can have the room serviced and sell it again for an overnight stay if you're checking out after a few hours.
