Seems Ireland see a problem with Japan/Russia. Go out to exploit it, do so quickly. They quickly shore up the problem, and then Ireland struggle for the rest of the match.
Lucky for Ireland russia will collapse unlike Japan. |

If youre a team with quarter final ambitions and nothing more, then yeah, job done, good result.
If you want a world cup, or final position, then its simply way off the pace.
It doesnt matter the sport, even in football you can tell when germany is going to win, and when spain isnt, cause germany will smash the small fry, and spain will struggle with them. Same in Rugby, NewZealand are smashing the small fry, its all with them at the moment.
Sadly, Ireland does not have a champion mentality. They can half turn up to teams they see as beneath them, and turn up and play great in the big games. Its not a great mentality, but it does give hope that they could get past quarters this time. |
