Of course and been present where their messages have been read out to them during disciplinary meetings, and detailed the knock on affect their actions have had.
You cant snoop without the encryption keys, which are not given to everyone on the IT team. IT often cant read anything unless its a mickey mouse outfit. So if you're given access its because its part of your job, and it is limited in scope to what you can see.
Some people can hand the data protection officer in the company a bit of paper with names written on it, and get access to all their encryption keys. This is just common sense.
What exactly do you have to hide on the work system anyway? If you get caught up to hanky panky you wont get sacked anyway. I have only ever heard of it being a slap on the wrist offense. Like I said, the people who usually get up to it, are beyond being sacked for it. Even clogging up the whole company wont get them sacked, normally auditing is done for other reasons and these other issues found are just minor slaps on the wrist. |

Exactly, it has to be specifically stipulated. And for someone with 'access to IT' rather than the actual IT person that I presume would have signed nda's to have access, and have a certain level of ethics, it's not really ideal |

It's true but only if it has been disclosed to the staff member beforehand that they are being monitored. Otherwise if the staff member was dismissed as a result of said actions without prior notice of monitoring the company is in the wrong. This is the same reasons why you must advertise that CCTV is in place on a premise. It is illegal to monitor staff and or customers without them being notified of such. |

There is no mercy these days. Each company has its own procedures to protect its assets and also has responsibility to keep all the info re customers in a safe place. All employees must be trained before they will send a first email. Im not an IT genius, but lost some data because of the dumb employee who used work pc for watching a porn. All responsibilities are mine as the owner of the company. I have to make sure that the system is well protected, data stored in the right place and have a copy in clouds in the case of emergency. |

plus parking have cctv. It is also for employees safety. Yes, it was in the contract. If you dont know the most valuable goodies these days is personal data. Be aware to whom you gave your email address and phone number Also, if you have Facebook account make sure to ask them to remove your sensitive info from their server. I bet you get lots of "super offers" every day Why? Think about it. Phishing is really easy to trick you. Sometimes you think its ok but always check the link and email address before you take any action. You may loose your own money some day and it will be too late. |

It's true but only if it has been disclosed to the staff member beforehand that they are being monitored. Otherwise if the staff member was dismissed as a result of said actions without prior notice of monitoring the company is in the wrong. This is the same reasons why you must advertise that CCTV is in place on a premise. It is illegal to monitor staff and or customers without them being notified of such.
Cctv isnt only in the restrooms. Every meeting room, reception, hall
