Why would you hide your profile but continue to contribute to the forum?

Probably because they don’t want to be contacted by anyone... except those who know them... and will reply (privately)

Sometimes i just love to chat on the forum page and not in private messsges so i hid my profile as to not get flooded with messages....

I have my profile hidden but still use the forums, no interest in meeting at moment.

Can just block all messages or put stricter filters on messages

It's ok for most single men here not to hide their profiles, most are constantly hidden anyway..

Some find the forums way easier to get meets because they've replied to a post or comment from someone they've been trying to Message directly but have had no luck but a funny or witty reply or a good point made on the forum may get attention faster...then some hide their profile because they're not interested in getting swamped any more with Messages or getting meets and can relax and enjoy the banter on the forums ...

Sometimes I hide my profile if I’m after sending face pic to someone to close to home or I think in-laws or family are into me. Just Precaution! But I’d still come on here and chat

If someone is taking a break from meeting.. for any number of personal/medical/safety/other reasons. Noone has to justify why theh are choosing not to display themselves.

I can get that and I know it's not the same but, I get winks, I dont mind them but ftom a hidden profile or a random message from hidden profiles, now that boggles the mind!
