If I'm out of age range and can't message a person, can they see a status I put up?

Why are you asking the same question you asked a few days ago

If you mean in the updates section, nope he/she/they won't. Updates only show 'fab new tailored to your age limits and location.

Only when they visit your profile, but why should they? You're outside their preferences.

So your best chance is waving frantically with your arms on the forum to draw attention - what you seem to do - just be aware it can badly backfire.

Repeatedly posting about such a thing on the forum isn't in the least weird and stalkerish.

"Repeatedly posting about such a thing on the forum isn't in the least weird and stalkerish."

But she may not have seen the first post or update silly

I see lots of things repeated over and over again on the forums. Guess it depends on whose doing the repeating.

Not usually same person and same question in a matter of days though.

You probably know better than me as you reply to most threads here.

Maybe the last one was taken over by the keyboard warriors.

your imagination

Nope. Your local updates are tailored to your specific preferences, so if you're not looking to meet anyone over 50 for example, you will only see photo uploads, status messages, etc., for people under 50 in your local area. Same with gender, if you're not looking for men, you won't see all their updates.

Posting a status update demanding that someone to mail you because you can't mail them is completely counter-productive. They won't see it, but everyone else who's preferences you do actually match will see how entitled and disrespectful of people's choices you are. It's not likely to endear you to anyone

Well it's good to see a love story that started on fab.

Yeah I think you're bit too harsh there. For most preferences aren't set in stone. I certainly have made exceptions. So it's understandable that some try and why not.

When I click on updates, I see a long list of status updates. This includes all status updates from women who are looking for men AND even if I am outside their age range

Yes of course, it's your age limits that defines your update news and not their age preferences.

What prompted you to make an exception, was it seeing a request for a mail in a status update?

Na he got a friend to message me. But most of the times I initiate the exceptions myself.

Fair play to both of you.

Is it an approch that would work for you?

I think it is safe to say it would put more people off than it would attract which is the point I think most people were trying to make.

If you take out words like respect etc....

Its just straight up not a great way to present yourself.

Although I would have said the same for the "my friend thinks your a ride" approch too

Let's say it like this, if the status update is addressed to you, and you come across it, you certainly go and have a closer look at said profile. And you never know you might find some gold nuggets there. Nothing is impossible on here. I've seen women/couples on here preaching personality and chemistry but once a seemingly handsome lad comes along with a six pack but unverified (one pic on the profiel) all their principles go through the window. So you never know what works, sure you'll put off some others with your update because they're not the chosen ones but most of those animosities are short lived respectively pathetic.
