I've been looking on this site for plenty of time now, but I don't understand one thing, why some people use curvy on their profiles and u have to get disappointed when u will met them. Is a big difference between a curvy and a large or ample.
Have a good day fab people. I hope I will not turn the lady's weapons on me |

Curvy is a pretty broad term....like athletic.
Basically at the end of the day we can call ourselves what ever we want.
If your going to be dissappointed because someone isnt as you expect Id advise swapping more pics or doing a cam chat before a meet |

How one person views another or they view themselves is completely different.
Me personally I believe I have curves in so far as I have boobs bum and a belly lol I’m not “straight” sized.
In my pics You can see me in all my glory or not depending on who’s looking.
If they’re not showing their full pics or only certain angles it’s most likely down to how comfortable they feel if you’re then “disappointed” by what you seen in reality that’s your own fault because ultimately you met based on the conversation you had and what you seen initially |

and the word alethic is used by a quite a broad spectrum of men here too. Maybe ask for their measurements next time. And yes people lie/bluff on their profile whether it's there body type/age/sexuality etc and yes I consider myself curvy

Tell that to women who are judgemental over mens height.
You can literally be refused by a girl for being 2cm too short.
That would be like a guy refusing a girl for being a 34d instead of a 35d. Or some crazy shit. |

Of course size matters, we all have preferences in the physical sense, and there's nothing whatsoever wrong with that - unless people decide to be abusive or unpleasant to those who aren't to their taste. Also, having different opinions on subjective descriptions isn't the same as lying about something like age or height. |

I think the body type labelling is pointless, but don't see why height shouldn't be stated. |

Exactly.
I started using cm for heights, and women will call a guy out for being 180cm instead of 182cm.
I had a woman measure my height in a car park before, to make sure I was over her minimum height, when I was over her minimum height she wanted me to take off my shoes and measure me bare foot. I'm not even joking. |

But why shouldn't it be its the under the same heading "discription" there guys here that get insulted when they don't ahem measure up, probably as many as there are women that use curvy when they should use ample or large. There's no shame about it ur either six foot size 20 or ur not but saying u are one thing when really ur something different is the problem

You’re meeting the person based on the pics they’ve provided so if you’re not happy with that it is on you. No one purposely does anything they put up what they’re happy with and it’s your interpretation of that that makes you message them! |

The thing here with everything is that everyone sees themselves as a particular " type " in their own eyes..and others may not see the same ..and THE worst scenario that happens when that occurs is that it is totally demoralising for one or the other when a meet happens...a lady friend of mine told me a guy she knew ( not on fab ) met a lady and when he saw her in the flesh ,he just totally could not have sex with her ..it left her totally shattered in everyway about herself...they had exchanged photos etc but the reality in the flesh left him stunned..he made his apologies and left...so how demoralised did that lady feel ?..while this site is what it is..there are definitely times when ones esteem and self value and worth are seriously damaged by things said to them on this site .but back to the point of this topic...both ladies and men put their shape as what they think they feel themselves...it's up to the other person they're chatting with to decide themselves what they think and make up their mind on the issue...if a lady thinks she athletic...curvy... average.. whatever..it's their way of seeing things...one does not have to see things the same ... |

A quick google will give a definition out there for curvy, i could post 5 links here to describe it. Anyone with an hourglass figure is curvy, doesnt matter how big you are. General rule of thumb is waist should be 70% of your hips.
But i agree similar to height, a lot of single lads lie about their height, i am just about 5’10” and have mad lads who profiles are 6’ and i tower over them. You know who you are |

Body types are subjective. You have guys with beer bellies calling themselves athletic and guys with 6 packs calling themselves average. You have slim women with big boobs and bums referring to themselves as curvy as well as plus size women referring to themselves as curvy. At the end of the day does it really matter?
Perhaps a dress size option would work best but people will still lie, just like those guys who think they’re vwe |

True.. I'm a loose 20 to a snug 22 depending on where I buy. Most people I know are shocked to hear this, because they see people of similar sizes and shapes claiming to be a 14 or 16. |

Depending where you shop dress sizes is a no go I can buy anything from a 14 to a 22.
How about people just accept people for who they are, if a guy or gal has agreed to meet has to have been something other than their body size that attracted them in the first place.

I come in all sizes, I've a curvy ass, large hands, slim tits, ample wide shoulders, athletic feet and average legs or in other words just fabulous, nearly forgot the big ego....
Op just do your research, we all try to present ourselves in the best light and from the most advantageous angle, some might go a bit further with that than others but there's always some give aways if you take the time and observe closely. |

I'm the same I have big boobs but I'm a size 16 and I do have a wobbly bits as well. I don't lie when I chat to anyone I tell them exacy what I am. If they still want to meet then great if not no harm done. I put down curvy as when I had large down I was told I was too small for that you can't win. Lol
And op it's up to you to chat and try and suss the person out. The same has happened to me as you but I just put it down to experience and move on. |

The first link that appears when you google "Definition of a curvy woman" is from Quora but there is numerous links on the first page and most mention "Hourglass" figure.
Also, this might help the explanation.
https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-know-Im-curvy
Curves aren’t really about whether or not you have a button-straining bust or jeans-ripping glutes (if all that’s happening you just need bigger clothes), but about ratios. For instance, the optimal waist-to-hip ratio is about .70, which means that a curvy girl will have a waist that is 70% of the width of her hips. Men typically have a ratio of about .90, or 90%, which means there is little change between the width of their waist and of their hips.
The ratio works for many different sizes. Men find the range between .60 and .70 ratio to be the most attractive, and a woman with ratios like this will also be more memorable to men overall: Study: Men remember more about a woman with an 'optimal' waist-to-hip ratio.
Here’s how you can measure your own ratio:
Measure your waist (directly under your lowest rib)
Measure your hips at the widest point
Divide your waist measurement by your hip measurement to get your ratio
It should be noted that, while people are free to love themselves and call themselves whatever they please, a ratio of more than 0.85 for women and more than 0.90 for men indicated abdominal obesity and not true “curviness.” |

"One of my meets was shocked that I was tall. I was like but it's listed on my profile. Apparently she expected me to be smaller than 6'4" tall. So must be common for men to lie.
Well I've met 3 men on different occasions in the past who each claimed to be 6'. We were the same height. So either I suddenly and temporarily grew 8 inches, or they lied"
It's a symptom of the small man syndrome |

I dont understand your anger or dislike at a term a person wants to use to describe themselves. If a women or man wants to call themselves curvy athletic godlike or whatever personally that's a choice they are entitled too regardless of what you think.
I dont think for your sake my sake or anyone else's that anyone should change how they perceive themselves just to suit your own opinion on how you perceive them. Most men put athletic on here but ain't all got abs but not all athletes got abs in the same way all curvy women arent big tits big ass small waist pornstar types.
See like most men you are basing your perception of women and the female figure on your knowledge from porn as a source. Porn has categorised so many things that even slimmer women are split in multiple categories. So maybe think of women less a pornhub search and more as a person and you won't let little things like a person calling themselves something they clearly feel they are an issue. |

"This is the same thing as when *some* men describe themselves as "tall". It's all subjective. And the curvy ladies aren't slow in having a go at those very men that might be a cm out in there measurement.
Exactly.
I started using cm for heights, and women will call a guy out for being 180cm instead of 182cm.
I had a woman measure my height in a car park before, to make sure I was over her minimum height, when I was over her minimum height she wanted me to take off my shoes and measure me bare foot. I'm not even joking. "
Are you serious? Thats mad. |

"New photo veri system...
You have to have a face pic, scales pic and height measure pic with fabswingers tattooed on your face...... sorted"
Some of us would have to be updating the scales one on a regular basis |

It would be a pretty boring world if everyone was homogeneous. We are all different in shape and personality and that is what makes us who we are.
You would need to be pretty shallow to have as your main criteria for meeting someone their body shape.
I personally am interested in the whole package and remember at some point you are going to have to actually talk to the person not their shape.
Also it is worth pointing out that people are not only being subjective about describing themselves, the choices on Fab are limited. |

"I come in all sizes, I've a curvy ass, large hands, slim tits, ample wide shoulders, athletic feet and average legs or in other words just fabulous, nearly forgot the big ego....
Op just do your research, we all try to present ourselves in the best light and from the most advantageous angle, some might go a bit further with that than others but there's always some give aways if you take the time and observe closely. "
Like I've always said to you DH Your " Basic instinct " photo is just Seriously HOT ..and others can put it in whatever category they want but ..WOW !!... oh .and this isn't " forum lube "...lol...it's just the truth .. |
