Lisdoonvarna in county Clare hosts a matchmaking festival every year. From speed dating to dancing and music. If you're not going for love, it's still supposedly a great event for the social and the craic. Has anyone ever gone in September? And what did you think?
Personally I wouldn't go for the matchmaking aspect but it seems to attract thousands every year? |

I was tere Saturday night very busy matchmaker bar was very lively male to female ratio was pretty even i go every year hydro disco a rip off !! bars charge €5.50 a pint,easy get chatting to ladies etc Saturday night the best |

Have been a few times. Craic is great. Last couple of years noticed the crowd is becoming very young. The big acts are attracting them. Worth a visit though. Wasn’t there for the matchmaking either but I did touch the famous book  |
