Sorry to hear this has happened Alex, I think you mentioned before that the videos you make are for your hubby to enjoy. I'd suggest that in future maybe only record them on your own device, and if they have an issue with that, tell them you won't meet.
Sadly seeing the amount of single guys on here using photos of sex with ex girlfriends on their profiles, who have no idea that their explicit photos and sometimes faces are being publicly paraded around by guys on Fab, I'm not at all shocked that this has happened. A lot of guys will just assume that 'she won't mind'. |

If repeat meet and youve gotten to know them then communication has broken down somewhere; repeat meets rely on trust and if that breaks down then no more benefit for either side. So its unlikely he would have done it and jeopardise future meets.
If it was a first meet, theres your lesson. Nothing wrong with pics and vids but on a first meet before trust established..? Risky. So if a first meet then your vetting process needs worked on as the type of guy is the problem. Still begs the question of how you found out though if he was a one off and wasnt going to contact you again. |

I know it's probably not the easiest thing to go to them about but that's what they're there for. And I'd imagine a lot of people who commit violations like this are relying on people being too embarrassed or whatever to report them.

If anyone's explicit photos are being used without their knowledge or consent report it. We don't have the legislation here in the Republic yet to combat this issue, but it's coming. Fab, however, is UK owned entity and governed by UK laws, and they do have revenge porn legislation. While the intent may not be revenge, and someone merely saying 'ah he/she wouldn't mind sure', without the person's expressed consent, it's still not OK. |

I often worry about shit like that happening to me with exs, but it could happen to anyone (your only human) so don't blame yourself. I had similar happen when an ex posted video of herself and I to a site where my face was in the video for a split second. She refused to remove it. So I contacted the site and threatened legal action also contacted their website host. (You'll see that at the bottom of the site) with the same mail. It was removed after that. Hopefully you'll be able to get it removed. No one should breach someones trust like that. Also mail the person again and tell them you are going to go legal unless he removes it. |

I really can't believe someone would do that. That's horrible and you should really follow up with Garda and legal system.
If I take pictures with someone (never took a video) I take them with her phone asking, or let the partner take the pictures.
If they will want me to have them, they will send it to me.
If I would like to show them in my profile, I ask for permission and always remove their faces.
All fotos are then encrypted on my phone so, even if i loose it or someone gets it, they won't be able to find any Fab picture.

Consent was clearly given for the images to be taken. The OP said as much. She also gave permission for said images to be distributed (specifically to her husband yes but disturbed nonetheless). And by her own admission this occurred several years ago.
I'm playing devil's advocate of course but my understanding of this law is that it's completely toothless. I haven't researched it fully but I made an educated guess and say there hasn't been one single conviction secured using it? |

After all I can hardly talk to friends about it
Of course you're allowed to vent. Vent away. But it's a public forum whereby posting you invite commentary on your topic.
As for having friends.... Dear Lady, please. A quick look at your profile indicates SEVERAL friends who are very aware of your sexual antics. And if I recall correctly this is not your first profile, nor even the first site upon which you've met several such friends.
I don't believe we've ever met but your profile name is quite well known, and again, if memory serves, you had quite the penchant for men in uniform at one point?
You also indicate that your husband is aware of and enjoys your activities.
All which goes to say that, obviously, a public forum is not exactly the only option open to you when you wish to "vent", no?

Of course an offence has been committed if the people involved were duped into it and making a video for one’s self is exactly that, for one’s self or between a ‘couple’. Of course it has to be proved and innocent until proved guilty beyond all reasonable doubt however, a knock on his door would frighten the shite out of him. To do anything, the OP would of course have to make a report and make a statement and that maybe is something she’s not prepared to put herself through. And another thing, if she made a video of herself and her ‘friend’ and she wants to share that with her husband, that’s her business, however, she couldn’t share it with all her friends as well without his permission, same as he can’t do that too. |

This is perhaps a salient lesson for us all... no pictures, no videos & definitely no faces or identifable marks.
Trust is paramount in meets, despite a few pre meet messages we are after all strangers, meeting consentually for a sexual encounter... & assuming that the person we are meeting is not a physo axe murderer or candidate for a criminal minds episode.
This incident is a clear breech of that trust & results in all of us questioning current & previous meets.
Thankfully there is a great deal of support for the OP, but also some very unhelpful acqusatory comments.
The OP's past, current interests or profiles on Fab or other sites is immaterial, she is entitled to vent and in doing so warn others.
Judge not least you be judged.
We must all learn a lesson from this. |
