Them bloody biscuits, go to the shop for milk, bananas and watermelon, leave with 2 packets of Jaffa cakes, 1 packet of chocolate digestives and a pack of jammy dodgers... and that just for 1 cup of tea.. |

I have few true addictions. Maybe only one even (smoking), but have had plenty of fads, crazes and infatuations. However, they are all things I may obsess or compulse about temporarily and then in the blink of an eye lose complete interest. Sometimes the interest may return, sometimes it won't. I've gone through lingerie buying fads at different times. Right now it disinterests me. Sometimes I'll feel a compulsion to write poetry or prose, lyrics or music, or to paint in a particular medium... Other times I'll crave absorbing other people's art. I've excitedly stocked up on materials to start new projects and then had the enthusiasm to do it pass before I even begin the work. Sometimes disappointment in my own inability to perfectly capture the idea in my head sends me into a funk that makes me push away everyone and everything, and I have little interest in anything except getting through the day... I see most of my fads, fixations, crazes, and compulsions as guilty pleasures more than true addictions. I'm just not sure whether it's the guilt or the pleasure that wins sometimes
Currently... I have none... Everything feels a bit 'meh'. But that's OK... Tomorrow I might randomly decide I simply must learn to play the trombone, climb a particular hill, or built a scale model sandcastle of the GPO, so in the meantime I'll enjoy my respite from my compulsions and guilty pleasures and get on with the business of living... Oh, and still smoking!  |

Oh I get the whole let's try this, bought quiling paper it's still in packet, done some art again get bored, crafting of cards got bored lol
Totally get the lingerie thing too have boxes of the stuff and it's gathering dust.
I guess fads keep our minds busy lol |

I've an addiction /obsession with true crime. Listening to podcasts, watching crime documentarys and reading true crime books. Also natural /organic skincare. I spend too much on skincare. I have about 50 bottles of expensive perfume.It's abit of a problem ?? |
