Liverpool v Arsenal

Can anybody see Arsenal getting anything today ? Gonna be tough. Probably down to how well Liverpools keeper performs. Mistake dropping Lacazette in my opinion.....but.... Hopefully it will be a cracker ! |

I'd settle for a draw, Liverpool have been too cocky considering they've been lucky escaping with wins when their defence isn't great at the mo. I wouldn't be worried about Adrian but as the whole defence is ify I am |

Gooner here.I take a draw, big time lol. But the Pools home record is so good, 40+ unbeaten, a draw would be a terrific result. But Auba always has goals in him, but maybe Pepe will make a dream full debut, lets hope. I remember Ljungberg making his debut, coming on as a sub v utd and scoring a cheeky lob.Maybe we'll have something similar |

"One way traffic so far, Pepe poses a threat but will need good supply" Liverpool should of bought Pepe when they were looking at him, he would of fit straight into that Liverpool squad.

"Glad to see Matip getting a goal, hopefully now Klopp will always start him ahead of Gomez! " I see what your saying and I agree, but before Gomez got injured last season, he was unplayable, Matip stood in, and played his best football for Liverpool. |

Of course, at their best I'd have Gomez in before Matip cause he has serious pace and is better going forward too but I just don't understand how he's gotten so bad I'd even go as far to say if Matip wasn't in, then I'd rather have Lover there!!! ha |

There was no need to buy Pepe, unless they got him for cheap, he plays like Mo coming in off the right, so I suppose if you were going to, it'd be a back up for Salah and the cost would be way too much for a back up |

Gooner here. Painful watching Match of the Day last night. In order to compete, we need to sort our defense out. I'm not concerned about our attack as we give ourselves plenty of chances. We just need to get that defense sorted in order to be challenging for silverware. Another frustrating season ahead i think. |

Just an average team "
I’m a Gooner - but that’s nonsense!
Maybe aubameyang would get into their 14 but that’s it.
Liverpool and City are miles ahead of the rest.
I really hope it doesn’t turn into a Scottish type procession to the silverware. |

"One last thing ...... that commentator on MOTD .....
Nuff said ....
What he say? "
I hate the commentators on MOD. I think they watch a replay and then do their commentary. They always slip in a comment that gives away what is about to happen next. Either that or they edit it to make the commentators sound like they not only know everything but they're so good they can predict what's going to happen next. Lol heightened when Arsenal lose |

In fairness to Arsenal, and I know we were well beat, but arguably we had 3 of our first choice back 4 missing, Tierney,Bellerin, and Holding. If you took away Alexander-Arnold, Robertson and van Dijk, would Liverpool have won so easy if at all.

Pfffft, Clyne, Matip, Lovern (OK, but ify) and James Milner or even Yasser Larouci could come in for Robertson - Liverpool 4-2! |

Any of those 3 wouldn't have kept David Luiz out and there lies your problem
Best of luck for the season ahead though |

There's 3 matches on the box over the next 2 days.
Southampton v ManU tomorrow 12.30
Man City v Brighton tomorrow 15.00
Burnley v Liverpool tomorrow 17.30
Arsenal v Spurs sunday 16.30
Lets watch all 4 games and based on reality report back here as to which one wad good, bad or shite
Are we capable of constructive debate?
Feel free to throw in any other Prem fixtures that you may feel are relevant or should be involved in the mix. |

Its actually way better if you are a sky customer you can upgrade and get bt and premier sports and get all the live games in one package for cheaper than last year where you needed sky and eir packages...
Shitty for eir customers though |

Just because you think you’re some sort of pseudo “Dom” don’t think you can dictate what is posted on a public forum.
You may be able to find some vulnerable lady to address your “Dom” needs but don’t think fir one moment the greater Fab membership will indulge you.
It’s a football thread.
You don’t like it?
Move the fuck on.
It’s simple really “daddy” |

As the original poster ( is that the correct term ? ) I feel obliged to keep the post going
And as an Arsenal fan, can I say we were well beaten by a much better team. But I do think Arsenal are on the up, but it will take time. I also love watching Liverpool, great attacking team full of quality. City are relentless though, and have bottomless pockets ,but not generated from football, which is very unfair.
When Utd had more money than anyone else, that was life.It was generated from a bigger stadium, and a bigger worldwide fanbase. But Citys situation means the rest of the league are not on a level playing field. |

Rich owners is nothing new in football though.
As a city fan I hate WHERE the money comes from but smaller clubs getting financial injections is not a bad thing.

The big difference between United's teams and city is United always brought through young players as well as buying experience but city just buy, buy, buy.

At least Jack Walker got to see his team lift the title. Unlike Liverpool so far, lol. I thought Jack Walker left money in a trust fund so that Blackburn would always have money to do well. Not working too well. |
