Because they are willing to do both. If you want them to put a sheath on they will, you want them to bareback they will. If you think having safe sex on a profile means they only practice safe sex then you are very naive. Most people at some point will bareback whether it be with a partner or that 'one off'.
I'm of the opinion assume everyone barebacks. As has already been pointed out by many others people will say one thing and do another so the only way to be sure is to assume the worst. If I wasnt happy with the risks involved I wouldn't have casual sex/swing with others.
