Visiting Newry for three days work in August, anyone recommend a few nice places to eat, drink and stay?

Warrenpoint is only 5 miles away. Beautiful town on Carlingford Lough. Fabulous hotel called the Whistledown. Lots of nice pubs and restaurants. Enjoy

Canal court hotel is fairly nice and central, and there is always a few kicking around the bar

Make sure and get some grub in Dolce Vita, a Pizza and Burger place. Very nice and reasonable.

A visit to the area would not be complete without a visit to Friar Tucks. (Crap but good fast food place).

Just ask for a Super FT. You won't regret it.

In fairness +1 on getting to Carlingford for a bit while there. Nice walkabout. Get into PJ's for grub (and pints)
