Folks, do you have any recommendations for hotels in or around Wicklow? Most places that are coming up are guest houses, B&Bs or self-catering.
Or would it just be better to stay in Dublin and drive down? |

There are no hotels in Wicklow town itself.
You could try the Bridge Tavern, it is a pub but they do accommodation and I think it is reasonable enough.
Tinakilly House is not far from Wicklow Town, but is very very expensive. Hunter's Hotel is in the same area but the same as that, very expensive and very old style hotel.
Further north you will find The Glenview Hotel in Glen O' The Downs. Druids Glen Golf and Leisure.
Then on to Bray, you have the Royal Hotel in the middle of the town, then down the seafront you could try The Martello.
The Glendalough Hotel is lovely setting, that is right in the heart of Glendalough, you also have Lynhams Hotel in the same area. The Glenmalure Hotel is lovely, small and quaint and out in the middle of nowhere but great food and staff.
Further south you have The Woodenbridge Hotel in Avoca, Lawless' Hotel in Aughrim and The Arklow Bay Hotel in Arklow.
I am sure you will find something amongst these.
Enjoy your stay in The Garden County |
