Single guys are to Fab what Bluebottles are to summer picnics... constantly buzzing about, causing bother, landing where they are not wanted, generally being a nuisance and no one really wants them

Single girls (especially the Bi ones) are the unicorns/fairy princess, everyone want to be their friend, but quite often they do not get asked to the ball.

So what about the social scene for the single guys & gals, whether it be Vanilla Club, Killing Kittens or Envy, they are not hugely welcome, some select single (bi) ladies, will be invited for the amusement of the "couples" and a hand picked group of single guys (eye candy) for the ladies amusement.

What of the others and of the mature fabber, yes they can send out messages looking to meet, but that is like a "cold call" from the double glazing sales person.s end a 100 and get maybe 1 reply

On Friday I was fortunate to get an invite the BlackIrishCanadian Singles Party. what a breath of fresh air this was, it reminded me of the scene in the UK, none of the limitations obvious in the Irish scene. he has previously hosting parties in the UK & Belfast , so he brings a wealth of experience to Dublin.

It was a nicely hosted house party, a comfortable big space,a mixed group of singles, all ages, sizes & race.

we chatted, played & had fun into the early hours, and new friendships were made.

On Saturday he hosted a couples Party and I understand this was also a great successful, attended by those that rarely attend clubs or social events.

I will certainly be looking out for future BlackIrishCanadian events, the Fab scene is starting to already look more interesting for us singles, especially us mature singles.

of course may the others will be less blinkered & more welcoming of the decent verified singles.

The problem with the Irish scene is the arseholes have not been off the fucking island to see how the world works in reality. The Irish scene is a clique based on GAA rules. Thus, if you don't fit, or from the county you're fucked out, ignored, uninvited, boycotted, or rudely treated. Sound familiar folks ? The clique participants carry on in the scene like they do in the village. I've played all over the world as a single guy, and as part of a couple, and nowhere is as fucked in the head as the Irish scene. Who needs that Wank of Ireland attitude? I never tolerate a scene that is not inclusive of everybody in a balanced way to make it constructive, inclusive, progressive and fun. Who the fuck wants a room full of old white people spouting bullshit about the GAA anyway with the rosary beads hanging off their thumbs? 'Oh, you're from Galway...Oh right, well I'm from Wicklow so it would never work out..' The rest of the world makes a fucking effort to make the journey. I absolutely despise the Irish scene. As an Irish guy abroad I'm treated with an amazing welcome from Europe to the US and this shithole scene needs to end.

"everyone has a right to voice their opinion, i believed he had a great time and every compliments given is understandably."

Again, no issue with opinions and again, not questioning the party he enjoyed. What I am questioning is the reason for putting down other party's. My question is as valid as his opinion. I'm genuinely interested in knowing what brought the OP to this opinion as I am due to attend one of the mentioned and would like to know more. Is the opinion based on facts or assumptions?

Who cares?

Rule 34 states that there's a fan club for everyone out there.

So tap into and have fun.

Or start your own thing.

Rosered I have been on & off the scene since 2000 & over that time have attended social events & clubs.

social events ( meet & greet) tend to be more inclusive and welcoming of singles, they are after all an opportunity to put faces to names you may have been messaging/chatting with. Getting the invite to the "afters" party is where there can be noticeable exclusion.

I have also visited clubs, many are somewhat unwelcoming towards the single guys, indeed there is an interesting forum post on the issue of singles ( men & women) at clubs when it is mainly a couples nite.

the issue of cliques is raised, petty jealousies etc. in some clubs there can be a couple or couples that seem to rule the roost & there can be an element of " if you want to be in my gang". that said it can be the same in Vanilla clubs such as golf or sports, swing can often mimic elements of life.

so my opinion for what it is worth is based on observation, conversation & experiences.. but go to your party & enjoy the experience, everyone remembers their 1st party.

Thank you for your insight OP. Though it's far from my first party. I've been involved in this lifestyle for many years and no spring chicken. Lol. Just only been to one that you mentioned so was curious had you been to all of them. Thanks again for the polite response. X
