I watched the first three! I did love the book and I love Pratchett very much. I've gone off Gaiman though in recent years, I know he wrote the screenplay but I feel his mark is too much on it. Very much enjoying Tennant and Sheen though |

Oh I know! I was so disappointed by the Sky One adaptations... They were far too 'pantomime'. The BBC are apparently producing a series based on the Watch stories... I'm hoping they'll be better. I'd gladly see Gaiman and MacKinnon team up again to bring any of Pratchett's solo work to life, but that's probably just a dream. |

David Jason as Rincewind  And Twoflower was even worse - agree with all concerned that the casting in GO was amazing. |

Hate to rerail the Pratchett / Gaiman thread, but I've great hope for The Watch, definitely my favorite sub-series of the dw series. I hope they start at the start with Carrot coming to the city |

That was hilarious... A Christian fundamentalist organisation condemning the series and calling all Netflix users worldwide to demand that it be banned and removed from the site... Only the series isn't on Netflix... It's on Prime, and all they really did was get the attention of millions of Netflix users who never would have known about it otherwise, who thought 'oooo that looks good!' and watched it anyway
It was a scenario so comical, that Pratchett could have written it himself! |

I see Vimes as more of a Sean Bean or a Robbie Coltrane even than a Daniel Craig..... Although Coltrane could also do Detritus justice. I like the rest of your casting though! My first choice for Nobby Nobbs would have been the late John Hurt, but Gary Oldman is an excellent choice.

Downloaded the series and watched it three times so far.
Dying for Amazon to adapt more - especially from the Discworld series.
Sadly Christopher Lee is gone so he won't be playing Death (he was brilliant in Hogfather and The Colour of Magic) but I see so much potential in this. |

Christopher Lee could have brought the role of a statue to life in fairness, the man was a phenomenal actor. Maybe we need to start petitioning Amazon for a Discworld series? |

I loved the Dirk Gently books as a kid, but try as I might, I couldn't get into the tv show |
