I've been doing this for couple of years now...but recently I've noticed more and more rude,crude and abusive messages getting more common...
Yes it's normal and I dont let it get to me...
But come on ... we are all adults... rejection is not nice... but plenty of fish in the sea ...
Manners cost nothing ... no need to be dicks or keyboard warriors ...

It seams to be happening more and more, looks like people feel entitled to your attention, at the end of the day its up to us as individuals who we interact with and who we play with but some people feel that just becuse we are on here and they see thing on our profile that they would like to try that we are obliged to play with them. |

I've started blocking mail from everyone on weekends. Just means I don't have to put up with the 'hotel meet now' requests and the Sunday morning horny hangover brigade. Initially I just blocked single males, but some men in couples are as bad when their partners aren't around, and then you've the ones posing as single females too. It's a shame when you have to do this, especially if, like me, you enjoy chatting with forumites about whatever the topic of the moment is... |

I think people just want instant gratification and when they get it denied they take offense as if they have lost something the owned...your right manners cost nothing but are priceless in reality,some people are hormone rich and poor in respect I just let the abuse roll like a wave,keyboard barriers hate water spilling on the p.c  |

Yeah been on here a while in numerous different forms (solo, cpl page and now solo again), and noticed it’s gradually getting worse.
Of Course it was a lot better being part of a cpl, but us single guys don’t do ourselves any favours. Place makes me feel like i should start contacting people apologising for other guys first! |

I think it's a sad state when people just come on here to piss others off and send abuse  . It dose make you wonder why some times why we stay ? It's because of all the amazing people we have met and became great friends with and other to cum   .

In the year I have being here I have being called all sorts of names and being spoken to pretty much like a unpaid sex worker. In this era of porn on demand everything is about instant gratification.
In the first few months I got upset about the abuse I got. But actually it's taught me to be more confident and take no shit. I am more than able to stand up for myself when someone is being a douche bag
I suppose I could leave but the genuinely good people make it worthwhile. |

Weekends are the worst times for it. It use to upset me now I just block and know I made the right decision by not meeting them in the first place.
It can be hard when you get a load of abuse in a short period of time but like I said they aren't the people I'd want to meet anyhow. |

Yup... Full moon is another time to avoid. I warned a friend about it when she joined some time ago, and she laughed, thinking I was joking. Couple of weeks later and she was telling me she had always thought that the full moon bringing out the nutters thing was a myth, but sure enough, her mailbox had blown up with rapaciously demanding messages that turned nasty when she didn't reply or said no thanks. |

The male ego is a funny thing.
It's what makes some men do stupid things to prove how hard they are, say stupid things to try to save face and intentionally hurt others as some sort of way to make them feel better about themselves.
Fortunately quite a few of us aren't driven by ego, are rational, and don't need to prove anything to anyone.
To be honest if it was the other way around and I was getting the messages that some ladies constantly receive, I'd be outta here.

I never noticed that but will definitely keep an eye on that. Maybe that's why a while ago I got a load of abuse in 48 hours I must admit I almost quit that time. |

I've actually had the opposite experience. For me it's guys 39+ who are incredibly disrespectful and borderline abusive. And in quite a few cases 45+ have just been horribly creepy.

Unfortunately I agree. Most of the abuse I get isn't from guys looking for meets, but those who are horny in that moment and desperately looking for someone (anyone!) to cam, kik or wankchat with them. They spot a female online, and woe betide the single woman who dares to say no... Suddenly you're being called a stuck up cunt who is only on here because you can't 'get a man' in real life, and should be grateful for any scraps of attention thrown online.
