I was trying to think when the last time Ireland had a great looking kit and I came to the conclusion that the '92 away Adidas kit was the last one.
Umbro have produced nothing but dirt with the exception of maybe one or two over the last 20 something years.
It got me thinking of international kits and which is most stylish.
I'd have to go with The Netherlands Euro '88 kit closely followed by West Germany's 1990 kit.
Other notable ones for me are West Germany 1990 away kit, Argentina '86 home and away and I have to say I love the Ireland '88 kit with the strip of netting on the sleeves.
Any suggestions. |

"Cameroons in the last World Cup "
Cameroon 2002 world cup sleeveless jersey was cool as fuck.
It broke FIFA rules though so they had to wear black t-shirts under it.
I have a 2008 Cameroon shirt that's cool too but it's way too small for me these days
Just googled that white Brazil shirt. Class. |

Cameroon also had an all in one but fifa wouldn't allow it either.
China away, France 98 (my dad has one with petit 17 on back), Belgium last year, Sweden 94 I think and Nigeria 2018 |

I hate to be that guy but it's just a myth.
The German Football Association logo is Green and White, based on the colours of the football field and they adopted the colours for a second kit.
It's a good story but I think they played 3 or 4 teams after the war before they played Ireland, wearing a green and white kit in one of those games. |

And the USSR one was a red version.
Also if memory serves me, the East German away shirt was a blue version.
Adidas sure made great looking shirts in the 80's and early 90's. |

"There has been some lovely shirts over the years, however there is only one international shirt I'd wear no others compare as boring as they ENGLAND! "
What is your favourite England shirt?
I always liked the blue one from the early 90's.
I think it may have been a 3rd shirt.
Light blue with the three lions in the detail of the shirt. |

Just wondering, when was the last time you could buy an Ireland shirt without the corporate sponsor logo on the front?
It's always put me off buying Ireland shirts.
I think I've only had 3 in my life and the last one was in 2004.
It ruins the look of the shirt in my opinion. |

I think you might be right as I have a '92 shirt with Opel on the front and I would have gotten one without the sponsor logo if I could have.
Apparently part of the Opel deal in '86 was that all replicas would have the sponsorship on them and when Eircom and 3 became sponsors they wanted the same deal so you cannot get a replica shirt without the sponsorship logo on it.
By the way, you need to start a new lyrics thread. The current one is full |
